Morning all,
I wondered about coming on here after my soppy embarressing post last night but am sure lots know what I meant.
Well, yesterday was quite a day. The hospital rang to say they want to do a pre-op assessment and have given me an appointment for Wednesday, yeehhaaa !! :j I'm so pleased that something is going to be done. I took the advise that many of you gave and made an appointment to hastle the Dr. but will have to canncel it now.
I need the ops but am a little worried about the outcome as they have told me about the risks involved.
Had a phone call last night from 1 of our tennants to say she has moved out and will not be leaving a forwarding address. She has been a tennant from hell. DH and I have tried to help her throughout the 4 years she has rented our house. I have taken her shopping, her dog to the vets and paid the bill.
She has spent Xmas with us, I have reduced the rent to a peppercorn amount, found her a part time job driven her there and back, even done her hours for her when she has drunk too much.
Now she has up and left. I know we will have to completely decorate the place as she has trashed it. The carpets will have to be replaced throughout because they are covered in wine and food.
The garden is a wilderness and covered in dogee doodars. I didn't ask her to pay a deposit.
Why? I hear you ask............. Because she is my Sister.
We rent out 3 houses and the other 2 tennents are great.
DH and I will go to the house today and measure up for the carpets and take my decorating stuff down and make a start, so a busy day ahead.
Hope your b/hols go better than ours. ((((((( to those in need)))))))))))0 -

BM is on, I'm trying another version of fruit bread to see if I can get it anything like starbucks version. WM is on for the second load. DD put enough for 2 loads in it last night. This was as a result of us discovering her room was a tip. So she's been grounded today to do laundry, I think as I have just hung one load out for her, she's doing the bathroom for me. She won't be best pleased
N9eav - You've had a horrible experience, I hope your campaigning pays off as a result.

Do you know what it reminded me of? I was watching 4 Weddings on TV the other week & at the end of the 1st wedding, the bride is very drunk & as she's leaving the reception, she's hugging & kissing everyone tearfully, saying "i love you, i really love you, I've never met you, but I do love you"... lol!!!!!
And that's what I had a mental picture of...!!! (but thought it was very sweet & agreed totally with you)
Sorry to hear you have to sort out the house after your sister has let you down, I expect you feel really angry with her, as well as upset(((hugs)))) for you.

Have you ever read In Her Shoes (or watched the film made of it)? Your story reminds me of that.
It's funny what we'll put up with for family/loved ones even when our efforts are not appreciated. I hope sorting the house isn't too hard for you.
Anyhoo... Morning All
I have a 3 day weekend thanks to the bank holiday but my ideas of a lie in today (which would have been the first in a long time!) were scuppered by a phone call at 8.10am by the girlfriend of one of OH's mates asking if I'd seen her boyfriend.
OH and his 2 mates went to a 40th birthday party last night. I stayed at home as we couldn't afford for both of us to go out. The two mates were both meant to be staying at the one house and never arrived. I was in bed well before OH got home and he won't awake for hours yet so I don't know how she expects me to know where her boyfriend is
Sorry for the mini rant but at least it's off my chest now! Although it makes me realise I'm lucky to have an OH who always comes home and won't stay out the night without letting me know in advance
I've updated the decluttering thread with my plans for today and tomorrow. Hoping I'll get everything done so that on Bank Holiday Monday I can relax and go the BBQ we've been invited to without knowing that I could be at home doing more!
Hope everyone has a good weekend whatever you're doing xSmall business owner 🧵 Ex MSE comper 🏆 Student loan repayer 💴 Romanian dog rescuer 🐕 Hopefully a cost of living survivor 🤞🏻0
