Thought of a coupel of other things :

Value longlife skimmed milk : Excellent if you like skimmed & don't mind longlife. I would think the same applies to the long life semi skimmed & full fat varities but have never tried them.
Value turkey drumsticks : excellent in the slow cooker. Save the bones for stock/soup.
Value fresh carrots & parsnips : Particually good roasted but fine any other way (I eat at least 2 raw carrots a day & they taste fine like this too)
Not an actual Value brand product but we find it very good value : Medium Dry French White wine, sold in a 3L white & green wine box, about £9.50 a box, not for a connesuir or guests but it is fine for the odd glass in the week, spritzers or in cooking.

also, value washing powder is excellant for cleaning tiled floors, baking trays, and the oven.

Morrisons Bettabuy processed chicken slices are disgusting, I just threw them out. It's not often I throw food in the bin :-X

tesco value soya milk is fine - though for the same price asdas normal one is better.

Not a value product but has anyone ever tried Tesco Spinach and Ricotta Pizzadella? It's a very thin square pizza and absolutley gorgous! :P It beats any restaurant pizza I've ever had so since discovering this we have saved on pizza restuarant bills!!

160, Don't they do home delivery near you? I find I spend a lot less when I order online and if the bill is a bit high you can go back a knock off a couple of treats which I would find embarasing at a real checkout, plus if you use the tesco codes you get the price of delivery back. I get £5 off my shopping most weeks yet delivery is only £3.99 on Tue&Wed in our area.

We use Value beans, mushy peas, kidney beans, sweetcorn and tomatoes. Fresh mushrooms and carrots are fine too. I don't like tuna so I haven't tried it and I always buy free range eggs, from the local market where they are almost as cheap as the value eggs but taste much better.

I bought my son some t towels for 27p (!!) to take to university, they are fine after a couple of washes.

My hubby, an economical Yorkshireman, decided to try the Tesco Bitter, not Value but own brand. He hated it and I threw the other 3 cans out in the end as it was taking up valuable wine space.

I buy own brand toilet rolls especially if they are 12 for the price of 9.

We have value ginger nuts in the biscuit tin too and they are as good as any.

they do, but i don't know where to start doing it, and when i used to use somerfields home delivery, it was hard to find a time when i was in. what sort of delivery times do they have now?

The first couple of times you order online it does take a while cos you have to search for everything but after a few shops MY FAVOURITES builds up. You can select what you ordered last time or everything you have every ordered and just confirm the items from this list you want in the current order. It makes it a lot quicker cos you always but the same brand toilet rolls, cat food, milk, bread etc. Some weeks now I only have to do a search for 1 or 2 items. I can do a full weeks shop in 15 mins now.

In our area deliveries start at 8 or 9 in the morning right up until 9 at night (this is extended at Christmas) Tue & Wed are at the lower price of £3.99 all day.
