    Evening all

    Congratulations Loupy Loo.

Hugs to anyone who needs one. Just had tea, musroom omlette, chips and peas. DS had noodles, sweetcorn, peas, carrots and sausages. You can tell there's not a lot in.

DS off to karate in a mo. Shall potter around Asda and see if they've got any bargains.

It's been a really long day, short-staffed at work (again). Have a good night all.

Haven't read the thread yet, so congratulations to anyone celebrating and hugs to anyone in sorrow or pain, especially Smoky, PenPin, Candygirl, Betheebee and Anniestar.

OH insisted that we went to doctor this morning to have our blood pressure checked before heading off on a long-haul flight...I was fine but whatever GP found in OH's heartbeat he sent us straight off for an ECG, which has been done and we will have the results in the morning...and may have to see a cardiologist to-morrow...gp reckons that depending on cardiologists report OH may not be able to go on long flight....I have threatened to go alone, but in honesty I am petrified...if there is anything serious I can't just walk off, it would spoil the trip and I'm not sure I want to go without him...I am also mad that we didn't do this sooner as not sure how much damage may have been done. GP reckons that OH may have had a slight heart-attack and passed it off to himself as indigestion...apparently this is quite common...I have no idea how long it is since he had a check up...I gather if they can establish that the irregularity is 'old' whatever that means it may be stable and not a problem. Am waiting for results to tell the family, no point in worrying them if its not necessary, sorry to load on you all but needed to let it out to someone....

Will continue with packing and let you know what happens to-morrow.

    Hello again,

Aussie, Churchmouse and redruby thanks for your advice. Spoke to both DS and DD and they both really want to try the fan drop, aerial park and rock climbing. They want to try the ice slide too (looks brilliant fun! have a look) so I think the decision has been made. Have told DD that she can have two or three friends over and go the cinema or go swimming then a little party. She seems very happy with that.

meanmarie just read your post. What a worry for you both. Hope the results are good. I know you have been looking forward to your trip. Did your OH have his suspicions that something might be wrong with him since he was insisting that you were both checked out? ((hugs)) to you both.

Will keep reading to find out the situation re the flowers for Pen-Pin.

Strange day at w**k - never seemed to stop but didn't get as much done as I would have liked. I'm off tomorrow - dreaded visit to the nurse and I have to get two blood tests done too. After that though, the day is mine so I can get some jobs done and out of the way. Need to go into the primary school where I'm a governor to hand in a report and some vouchers.

Have a great evening one and all.

meanmarie, i hope the results for your dh are ok, of course its a worry for you but it is getting sorted out now which is good
  • Well, I've had the weirdest day ever! I've spent the whole day happy. And when you consider that I've been to work, the girl who was suppose to take me off wen I finished didn't show up and then I volenteered to jump on a check out coz it was mad in store ( I was going shopping after work anyway), then I left my keys at work and had to ask some nice guy in one of the other apartments to let me into the communal area so I could put my shopping down. And I'm still happy!!!!!! weird!

Well, I've managed to do the shopping, do a towel wash. and run the dishwasher. Wanted to do more, but was locked out of the actual house until oh came home. Oh well, wednesdays the next pln, although I have to arrange something for tomorrow coz I can't leave the flat unatteneded but I think my sister will come over, do some revision.

Well hugs and loves to all who need them, and congrats to loopylou!!!!

    Hope everyone else is well!

    Argh. What a day.

Actually, my day was going fine til 25 past four, when I got called into a meeting with my team leader and her manager.

Essentially, they have had budget problems, and can't justify my job any more. I'm going to be transferring into my old team from sometime around July. Not amused, as not only do I love my new job (only been in it since 10th march) but I really didn't like my old one!!!

So, its been a bit of a bu**er really. And no, I don't mean butter.

Had fish and chips for tea, and am on my third glass of wine. I don't normally drink!

Off to read the rest of the thread now, as I'm afraid I came to vent first.

    Evening all :hello:

Many thanks for the best wishes for my Race for Life yesterday. I've had an extra £7 donation so I've raised £82!

It's been the first day of SATs for my Year 2 class. Half of them did the reading test and I'm SO proud of them (cos they make my teaching look superb! :D). The other half get to do the test soon and aren't the better half of the class....... However, I know that they'll do their best. :)

DH is creaking around the house. On Saturday he and his work colleagues went paint balling and he now hurts in most places on his body. :rotfl:

Supper tonight was bacon and mushroom pasta. Very easy and quite tasty. :D

Right, I've got some school work to do so I'd better go and do it.

    Hiya :hello:

Congratulations loopylou, an exciting and busy time ahead for you.:D

    Hugs to Pennypincher.

Another non stop day here again. After the school run I visited...

the post office to post a present to oz,
the petrol station costing £40,
the garage to book our car in for next week's service/MOT (approx £180),
    M&S for some undies,
PC World for a great money robot for £9.99 which will go in DD2's bday/xmas present stash,
Home Bargains for the usual cheap crisps, tea bags, sweets, drinks etc,
Aldi, Asda and Tescos for various fav items.

Then I spent about 2 hours sorting/hiding/putting everything away.
I've done my school planning, the washing has been done and line-dried, packed lunches are made and we had chicken and noodles for tea. Just got to wash my hair and then I can relax/sleep.
    Have a good evening. :D
