Good morning all,
Beautiful sunny morning here so WM is on and hopefully I will get the load hung out when it finishes. I woke up early today too but as the sun is shining, I don't mind.
loopylou congratulations on your good news!
((((hugs)))) to mrs mix, candygirl, smoky, pen-pin, anniestar and anyone else I have forgotten to mention who needs one.
Martin hope you have a lovely time with Julie.
W**k today and I know it's going to be a busy one. Still, I'd much rather be busy than have nothing to do and watch time drag.
Got lots of little jobs done yesterday such as shredding, filing, typing a governor's report, grating and freezing 3million carrots, using up some "past it" apples in a crumble, clearing the worktops in the kitchen so feel good about that too.
It's DD's birthday next week and we will be going to Scotland for a few days. I want to take DS and DD to Xscape in Braehead. It will be quite expensive but I know they will have a fantastic time (they love it there). Only problem is, DD's friends at school keep asking her what she is doing for her birthday (I think they are hinting that they want a party or something similar). So, do I cut back on the Xscape activities and do something with DD and her friends on her birthday or keep to the plan and just have a couple of friends over for mini get-together?
Dinner is sausages and mash with veg. Lunch is chicken salad on a wholemeal roll with fruit salad. No idea what breakfast will be and have no idea what I feel like eating.
Have a marvellous Monday. xx"Bad planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part."

Congratulations Loopy.
Couldn't think of anything worse Candygirl. I think I would have shot DH.
CharliesMum Bet your not laughing so loud now at all those holiday goodies.
Twink Yacon are these.
MrsMix <hugs>
Bookie What does DD want? I would personally stick to Plan A & stick to spending more at Braehead.
DGS & XDIL has left and I"m about to cook tea. Having salmon mornay with rice. ByeeeeeeeDon't worry about the world coming to an end today. It's already tomorrow in Australia.0 -
:hello: Good Morning!
Congratulations on the babies Pippad and Loupylou!
The barbecue went well yesterday even if the weather was a let down, cold but at least it didn't rain and I had my family and friends around so a happy day. We now have enough food left over to keep us going all week!;) The puppy had a great time, so many people to play and cuddle with, she is totally shattered this morning!
Off to the hospital soon with dd to see the consultant about the MRI scan she had nearly 2 months ago! Wish us luck!
(((hugs))) to Smoky, PP, Mrs Mix, Candygirl and DG
have a lovely day

Gooood morning :hello:
Congratulations loopylou! :j :j :j
Well done on the Race for Life yesterday, VickyA :T
donny-gal hugs to your dad.
I'm off work this week and today I am off oop north to visit my mate Nelski for a couple of days :j :j
Am off at about 9:30 to catch train from Euston at 10:46. So far today I have boxed up all the stuff I cooked for the freezer last night, unloaded the dishwasher, loaded it again and put it on (cooked 3 different things yesterday - rhubarb crumble, slow-cooked duck and a MASSIVE batch of mushroom pasta - so lots of washing up!) All I need to do now before I go is check I have packed everything, have a shower, get dressed, and take out the rubbish.
While preparing to take the duck out of the slow cooker I took the rack out of the grill pan to put it on (from a hot oven as it was cooking the rhubarb crumble) put it down on the hob, and then took off the oven gloves and about 2 seconds later I absent-mindedly decided to pick up the grill rack with my bare hands, forgetting it had just come out of the oven   I burnt both thumbs and both index fingers, however my right hand seems fine now - my left hand's got lovely ripe blisters all over the fingertip and thumb tip (and that's after sitting for two hours clutching a bag of frozen peas!) It REALLY hurt. But it doesn't any more - just stings a bitHmmm, haven't had any "kitchen accidents" for years, think I was due one
Must be off now, there are things I meant to get done last night but couldn't thanks to having a bag of frozen peas in one hand :rotfl:
Will text PP later and say you all send your love - I know twink and/or kyle are doing the same, but hey, the more she knows we're thinking of her the better, right?
Love Rzl xxOperation Get in Shape

had a drama saturday, got up to find the side of our house had a huge black 'tag' painted on it to say we were livid was an understatement! rang the police etc then after shopping gym and trampolining decided to break out the nitromors and try to shift it, we were out the over two hours coating it then left it for a bit to soak in, while we the out youngest DS was floating in and out watching us he was nearer the road than we were and DH had just suggested we go in for a cuppa so DS started walking back up the park path. There was the biggest bang! the lad over the road pulled out straight into the path of a car driving along the road it hit the car so hard it flicked it up the kerb and smashed into the rails at the top of the path by the side of our drive. DS was about 6 foot away and a poor lady walking her dogs was at the top of our drive both of them were scared whitless! If the rail hadn't been there one of them would have definately got hit
the force of the one pulling out was so strong the car he hit had a flat tyre that side and was unable to steer afterwards, DH helped him change the tyre because he was walking with a stick once he was out the car and he was really shook up. we got him a chair so he could try to clam down a bit im thankful no one was hurt and ill be ringing the council later to make sure the rail is repalced. we managed to finally get most of the graffitti off with 2 cans of nitromors a bottle of stardrops amonia and the neighbours pressure washer, the little sods must have been busy its on 4 other places round the local shops as well all appeared on saturday night, it must have been between 11pm and 7am as thats the only time sainsburys shutters are down and they got them you can see the overspray on the window. I'm hoping they walked across the precint after then they will be on the CCTV.
I hope everyone day has something really nice in it, what ever happens mine will be less stressful than the weekend i hadSPC~12 ot 124

Good morning everyone!
I've posted here in the past but haven't for ages, but fancied joining in again (after buying a breadmaker at the bootfair and knowing you lot would be the only people I 'know' who are interested!). It's an Antony Worrall-Thompson one from Breville and cost us £10 as the lady selling is moving to a smaller place. My kitchen is tiny too, but I've been wanting one for ages, so at least this will let us know if we will actually *use* a breadmaker...SO far so good, one loaf yesterday turned out well, and today I've put everything in and set it to turn on this afternoon so to be ready for tea (to have with some soup made up in the slow cooker yesterday of a bunch of slightyly ropey veg, but a yummy soup).
My 3 year old Isaac has had some toast and is watching telly so while he's safely ensconsed on the sofa I'm going to go gather a load of washing together, hubby has run out of shirts again. Once I've dropped him at nursery, I'm going to do some stuff in the garden - we spent all day yesterday in the allotment, but that means the garden needs a bit of care - and I've got some seeds I really need to plant, and I'm busy next weekend, so I've got to get it done!
Ooh congrats Loopylou - a friend of mine has just found out she's pregnant for the first time, at 36, and it's twins!! I can't wait to start knitting for them...:rotfl:0 -
just a quick message as im about to send another text to pp, honestly twink has no idea how to do them:rotfl:
anyway just a thought, know some people asked mum about flowers for pp, if anyone thinks thats a good idea or not then let me know and i can arrange to send some flowers to cheer her up a bit:D
