    Afternoon Campers

Have read today's quickly but have no idea what you,ve all been up to over the weekend - I gather that Martyn is pregnant and that loopylou has a new girlfriend called Julie ...... or was that the other way round - anway congrats to all  hugs also to the bereaved, poorly and those with poorly family members

Just got in from my trip to Canterbury which was brilliant if wet. Met a nice young man who had been there a couple of days already and took me out on the lash on saturday night - and before you ask .................. I'm not telling. This meant that I cycled the Crab and Winkle way with the worst hangover I've had in ... well ... weeks.

dd(11) also went camping over the weekend with her dad and some friends of his. They let the kids go off on their own to build their own fire  dd at 11 was the eldest   and the result is that she has a blister on the palm of her hand from picking up a hot stick. could have been a whole lot worse - and he complains because I let her cross a road on her own to get to school. Haven't seen it yet but she is due in from school in a few minutes - I do know that it's not dressed so if it looks bad I will pop up to the chemist for some dressings.

Off to rustle something edible up from the freezer
    have a good day

Martyn - bless you! Just calm down - as Twink said, Ya Julie is coming to see YOU not the 'no-longer-EAH'! BUT - RedRuby's advice about keeping the loo clean is one you must follow! Enjoy yourselves!

DONNY-GAL - as someone who has had sinusitis, I know exactly what you are going through; it's horrible, isn't it? I hope the anti-biotics kick in real soon. (((Hugs))) to your Dad.

KYLE - I'd love to contribute to the flowers; hopefully, you can find out if they are allowed? If not, perhaps we could send flowers to be there when PenPin gets home?

BETHEEBEE - I'm glad you're planning a few weeks away - it sounds as if you need it and it will definitely do you good after the ops. Try and get some sleep if you can.

Anyway, I've had quite a lazy afternoon knitting and watching 'Officer and a Gentleman'. Oh, that Richard Gere - yummy, yummy, yummy! I have no intention of deleting the recording - I may fancy looking at him again next week!

    See you all later.

    Afternoon all
I think I was a wee bit hasty in going back to work, I'm cream crackered! My wound in my belly button is a bit funny too, so I'm back to see the quack tomorrow afternoon. Just have to break the news to my supervisor now

DH has scolded me, so I consider myself well told before you lot all start on me :o

After weeks of him looking a bit poe faced its a major improvement............:j

Had my OS day yesterday really, all in preparation for today as had to fit taking the OH to hospital in around work and then come back for a couple of extra hours on evening reception, then go pick him up from day surgery later on when they ring.

Made a lasagne yesterday for tonight, also 2 portions of ratatouille for the freezer and a roast dinner, of which the left over chicken will be tomorrow night's pasta dinner.

am ready for the last glass of wine in the bottle when i get home in 2-3 hours time!!!!

Oh yes I see how that sounds ... For those wondering The Crab and Winkle Way is the part of National Cycle Route 1 which joins Canterbury to Whitstable - its very pretty with sculptures along the way and a lovely little harbour at the end. not to be confused with the way you ride on a hot hangovery day which is to go very slowly, geting off to push up the hills and getting lost several times even though it's very well signposted - I knew I was in trouble when a small boy overtook me - and he was on stabilisers!
