Good morning!:hello:
Nice to see the sun's out again.
This is just a quick hello as DD is picking me up presently to look after DGD while DGS goes swimming, and I'm not dressed yet:o nor have I had breakfast:rolleyes: so I'll have some cornflakes while reading the thread, and hope to come back later on!;)
VickyA - Sorry didn't get on the pc yesterday in time to wish you well for your Race for Life, so hope it went well! I was thinking of you.
Bye for now, hope everyone has as good a day as possible, and ((((HUGS)))) to all in need of one (or several, come to that).

Lovel morning here-- We have been home a week already!!
Mr Chalky had a lovely weekend and is now back in harness( not literally!!) but garden is shouting for TLC big style. So I must not stay on here as need to get the pruning shears out.
Hi Aimee-welcome back
-Loopylou- Congratulations I can remember how excited I was 30 years ago and now my children have all grown up-- the soggy towels and cereal bowls no longer live under the bed and the washing mountain has disappeared I can only say they have been pure joy !!
Dg- Sorry about Dad-- thank goodness you were home.

-Clairefun-Cake and jam are good in the breadmaker as well.
Well we have a busy day ahead but a lovely meal with family/friends this evening to celebrate their anniversary. Hopefully a walk by the sea first which I love
Twink-I think flowers are a great idea . How does it work as I have never been able to join in before.
Congratulations to all those celebrating and Martin by the sound of it and gentle thoughts to all those feeling sad or lonelyTry and do a good deed every day.0 -
Hi everyone - at last! I'm late on here because I have just had to follow DH down to the mechanic's to get his brake caliper done on his car - it was supposed to have been done on Friday but they had sent the wrong part so it was a repeated journey this morning; boy, was the traffic bad?! A journey that should have taken 20 minutes took an hour! I don't know how anyone commutes these days and, as for driving for a living, forget it! Rush hour is horrendous these days, isn't it? I'm so glad I work from home.
Anyway, DH has gone to work in my car and, hopefully, we can collect his later.
(((Hugs))) to SMOKY and the LOs.
MRS MIX - sending (((hugs))) to you and your family
CHURCHMOUSE - :hello: :hello: :hello:
BETHEEBEE - so sorry you are feeling down - I hope the day improves for you.
DONNY-GAL - (((Hugs))) to your Dad - that's dreadful, sending him to hospital on his own.
LOOPYLOU - congratulations to you!
KYLE - excellent idea about the flowers!
MARTYN - 'ya Julie' is working wonders on you! It's great to see you jumping for joy! Have a fantastic time!
MRS MONEYPENNY - I do hope you have no more dramas - finding the tag on your house must have been really irritating. I'm so glad no-one was seriously hurt in the accident.
BARGAIN - have a great time with NELSKI!
Well, I had better go and do something constructive, I suppose - I've already pegged the washing out; it's a lovely day here today but started off very cold. I need to decide what's for dinner and, also, make a rice pud for DH, and I have some paperwork to do and some birthday cards to write out.
See you later.

Hi Y'all, warm and sunny here in the emids.
Over the weekend Mrs MATH and I continued to clear out my FIL's house (he died at the end of Jan)
I am now the proud owner of two huge boxes of cleaning products. I've given them ago this morning during my usual Monday Morning de-fug of MATH Towers and even stooped to using (brace yourself gentle OS'er) disposable surface cleansing cloths:eek:
RESULT:- It was no quicker
- Nothing looks or feels as clean
- Some surfaces are sleaky and have had to be buffed up again
- The house stinks like a chemical factory and has given me a headache
- The Cat has gone and sat in the garden and is giving me 'The evils' LOL
Hugs

Not going to DD's yet after all, as DGS woke up so early that he'll be needing to sleep at the time he usual has his swimming lesson:D Poor DD, up since 5 o'clock - i remember it well... so DH will take me over to hers a bit later on and we'll have lunch together. She's just started doing SW so lunch today is apparently creamy potato salad and wholemeal bread. Good thing I like both of those!
Off to read the thread now, though may not get a chance to post.
Bestwishes

Good morning all:D
Didn't get on yesterday, had another *hiccup* with Dad, necessitating a dash down the motorway again. Honestly, you'd think he lived 20 miles away, not 200:rolleyes: Suffice to say when I got there, the problem had *disappeared*. Oh well, the countryside is very pretty;) And my car runs on fresh air don't you know:rotfl:
loopylou, congrats on the baby:j How exciting!
Mrs Moneypenny, what a day you had. Thank goodness nobody was seriously hurt, it could have been really awful. Hope they catch the *taggers*. Why do these people think it's Ok for them to spoil other people's property:mad:
I have so many chores needing to be done today, but know it won't all get done, and am wasting more time trying to decide what to do:rotfl: (does that make any sense? Put it down to tiredness insanity:o )
anniebooklover, I'd be tempted to go with just a couple of friends over, and have the bigger indulgence on holiday. Has DD expressed any preference?
Crazychik, glad things are looking up for you.
Hester, how many friends will be collecting Katy? From what you say, she'll need a fleet of cars for all those suitcases:rotfl: Can you imagine the check-in person's face when Katy presents at the counter:eek: :rotfl:
(((hugs)))) to smokybabe, candygirl, mrs mix and everyone else who needs one.
Off for a quick look round, then I really must buckle down to some work:o

Loveto PENNYPINCHERand hugs to smoky, betheebee, mrsmix and anyone who needs one.
Going out later to help another DD choose a new mobile phone! Might do a bit of shopping and get myself a couple of tops
GRRR!!!! at DH's employer. For the last five years we have been begging and pleading for his P60 and P11D so we can complete university forms for our daughters.
He phoned up today and was told we "Might" get them in mid June!!!!!
I thought it was a requirement that these forms were done by the end of May at the latest!
He works for a big company so cannot think why we have had to go through this stress for the last five years!!!!
DH is on the phone now doing a bit more grovelling!!!
Going to get ready to go out so see you later."This site is addictive!"
