  • arrgh my last post just got eaten by the cyber monster!!!!!!!!

    It kinda went like this:

    Happy Birthday for tomorrow Davgirl!!

Mudbath - they do go together (although your 1st thought might be hmmm... ) have a great day!

Had to break up the sleepover - they are all fast on now.

I am too tired to do anything other than crawl into my pit and play DS (game) for a while - then hopefully sleep will come.

I hope everyone manages and good nights sleep tonight to set them up for a great weekend!

Plan for tomorrow is to really, really, really tire the kids out without, whatever we do having the same affect on me because I really need to do some more ironing and tidy up our bedroom :o:p

    Night all x

For anyone having posts eaten, I (when I remember) type my posts in wordpad then copy and paste onto the site if they are big, then you don't loose them.

PF, that really is lovely! Definately different.

Well I still haven't done DPs food, I have got his clothes sorted, spare quilt in the drier for him, really haven't done much tonight at all but it has been nice to just sit here!
One day I might be more organised...........

    Good morning

It's 9.30 and I am the first to post??????? That can't be right!

Well I got through the last couple of days, although yesterday was really tough at times. Some clock watching and thinking 'this time 10 years ago.....' but being at work it did help the day pass quicker as being the Friday before a BH they all wanted their extra £££ just in case. No doubt it will all be paid back in on Tues, glad I am not there then! In fact that is me done a almost 2 weeks :D

Keep your fingers crossed that I can get a pitch for the caravan now (just had the ok call from Dad to help us set up)

thank MOJT one of the worst wobbles was when one of our customers said he was doing a wedding today, he's a funeral director as well, lovely chap who always has a smile. The eyes leaked a bit after he left! My mate gave me a big hug as it was the first any of them knew about the significance of the day. I ad deliberately not said anything before.

Anyway........ just rung and got a pitch from Monday night for 5 nights :j:j It feels very odd but exciting, kids are going loopy here! Will be the first time since DH died that we have taken the caravan away. Will get it out of storage this afternoon, now need to keep fingers crossed that it is all ok!

    :hello: Morning everyone.

Tht was a quiet night shift Im pleased to say. Saw my boss this morning and its defo overtime YAY!

Back at work tomorrow and night shiift on Monday. Thats three Bank holidays Ive worked. Will keep an eye on the off duty and make sure Im off the next one. We have one member of staff who always manages to get most of the banks off.

Going out to get mum a few bits and pieces then down to visit her. Going to my daughters after that. I had two new doors fitted last week and the guy put the old ones in my yard. Daughter suddenly decides she wants them and when I came in this morning they were gone. Which is what I was hoping anyway. Saves me forking out to get them moved.

Pigpen Thank for the weekend off but Im mostly working.

PinkFairy Good luck to your haidresser. That is a lovely poem thank you for sharing.

    Have a good weekend everyone.

She's 11 (12 in August). Mind you I can't really talk. I claim the title of the World's Messiest Child :rotfl:Clothes were never put away - I'd have a pile of clean and a pile of dirty. You couldn't see the carpet. When we eventually ran out of mugs in the kitchen I was sent to my bedroom to collect them all :rotfl:. When I went to put things "away" I would slightly open the bedroom door and fling it in - and there it would stay. :rotfl:Now I'm all grown up (I think :rotfl:) I'm really good :D :A. Thinking about it she's really not all that bad .

Now I'm off to make myself a :coffee: - want one? Thanks for telling me how to do it :D

Are you sure we're not related??? I'm always going mad at DD for leaving mugs/glasses/various carp in her bedroom. Mind you, she is 15 in Sept and is vaguely sensible outside the house. I'd rather I was moaning at her about her bedroom than smoking, drinking etc :D

Off on holiday at lunchtime! I did some wacky housework yesterday, washing down the bathroom walls when I should have really been tidying and cleaning. No worries though at least it looks clean and sparkly!

I still haven't packed but I have laid out all the stuff to go in. Having a row with my daughter about bringing my epilator/razor is not helping. I told her that she shouldn't worry (she wants to shave her arm hair when we are away, and I cannot justify the extra weight the machine and it's charger will bring) We have to take the train you see, and the bus, and the case is already going to be really heavy what with all the duvet cases and sheets, towels etc (maybe we will have to take two).

Have a huge list of cleaning/tidying tasks left to do:

vacuum all around one last time
    wash kitchen bin
    empty bathroom bin
    wipe kitchen window sill
clean rabbit hutch (or at least his litter tray)
    tidy/vacuum hall cupboard
check the kids rooms are tidy
    Dust the bedroom and landing
put empty ebay boxes away and recycle some
put ebay coats in black sack and away
    clean mould under landing window
freshen cat litter tray and fill with fresh
write note for dad (feeding pets etc)
get tea/coffee/sugar supplies for 1st day
fill small bottle with sunflower oil for breakfasts

Right I had better get moving again! Been up since 6:15am and spent about an hour on here!
