This afternoon I have had a bit of me time while kids watched a video. They now have the big pot of felt-tips out, I feel more works of art coming on:D .

    I have glazed the ham
    Bread rolls in oven
Made 3 chicken pies for the freezer using left over chicken (double portions so 3 meals for me and DH):money:
Carcus on for stock for soup

Was going to be salad for tea but it has gone cold, wet and miserable here so may do HM oven chips, egg and beans with it instead. Actually that sounds pretty yummy!

Kids bedding off line, folded and put away (didnt need ironing:j ).

My me time will be a bath and wash my hair while DH does storytime/bedtime. Will do facemask and have a rum and coke while in there too;) .

Argg, just gone into kids room and they have trashed it again. Both sent in to pick up and put away, I will then run round with the hoover again:rolleyes: . How can they make crumbs when they only had philly with carrot and cucumber:confused: :rotfl: .

Have taken pics of a few bits to ebay so need to do that over the weekend too. Its the weighing it and all that side of it that annoys me.

Right best get on with the spuds.

Dusty - I havent made jam tarts for a while, found myself scoffing too many:o . Maybe an idea to do with the littles next week.

:D Have a fab holiday JulieJim. Wish I was going on one rather than working (or rather sitting there doing b*ggar all for the next 3 days).

Cheers everyone - anyone care to join me. I am having a nigretta (spanished spiced rum) and lemonade:D .

    :hello: Evening everyone

Been a really busy day. Ive been to the gym then did some shopping. After that I went and did some EFT with a friend whos dog had died. Then to my daughters and after that did my meeting and greeting. Im doing an overtime shift at work tonight. Hopefully it should be overtime as they are supposed to use bank staff. But I didnt sign up for bank work as its just normal wages. I didnt bother because of retiring next year.

zarazara Big hugs for you and yours.

Now off to have a HHC.

Just had a lovely time in the garden, clearing up, emptying pots etc.

DS2 has cleaned just about all the windows for his pocket money
DS3 - shoes are too small so good job I have the next size up in the loft from the winter sales. Same shoes, so soft and comfy and were a tenner

Tea nearly ready for us and I have updated the freezer list of what I have used (forgotten what I have added but that is less of a problem)

Went to a friend's house as 12.30 because she had found some material she thought I would like. She also gave me a few double duvets and pillow cases which will be handy because ours are rubbish. Just need to buy a couple of fitted sheets now!

I'm off now to get the pizza and chips out of the oven. DH is not feeling too well atm - splitting headache which he's had all day and he's taken too many painkillers:rolleyes:. I will feed him and send him off to bed early :D

  • Back from the inlaws ok now in all honesty I was a little bit nervous - I always worry that MIL will turn back into her previous incarnation... However we all had a lovely few hours (I needed to sit down to type that!) She was really surprised by her cake too :D

SSL - I know what you mean - I decluttered our last place (before putting it on the market Nov/Dec 2005) I stored 30 boxes plus some furniture at the inlaws :o We always do the house buying thing the "wrong way round" i.e. buy before we sell  1st time we did it with no problems - the last time things got a bit concerning  We just didn't seem to be getting very many viewings with an o/o price so we went to a fp (without reducing price - just stating what we wanted/needed) Then we had a few more viewings and a buyer *phew* I know on the buying side of things looking at an o/o place feels like a minefield but a fp *seems* more straightforward...

I know someone that has just sold and they found things really slow it took them 8 weeks I think... they were thinking the same thing about the market although I saw something recently that said things weren't that bad up here - as in still rising in most areas  (espcially over on your side of the country)

zarazara - Huge hugs - I hope you are feeling a bit better now... tbh I could reel off a couple of dozen reasons why having *loads* of the material stuff doesn't matter - but you already know this ;) the fool is the busy body with nothing better to do than upset you... In saying all that I remember a few years ago (when I had 2 under 2) There was a middle-aged lady in the waiting area (at the doctors) who looked at us as though she had stepped in something... I can only presume she was making some assumption or other about me/us  The only positive I could draw was that they were both behaving like angels - looking back now I can say whatever she thought - really didn't matter - especially as she would have been wrong :D

Well the kids are fed now so I am going to phone up DH so they can have a quick chat with him (and hope it doesn't bring on bedtime tears) I promised them another sleepover tonight so better think about getting them in bed soon - not quite sure when dd2 woke them up but it was too early!

Then once they are settled I can have a wee look at my list - but tbh just keeping the house ticking over and trying to make sure that things don't slip is good enough just now ;)
