I've been accepted for a capital one and aqua today. At the end of the aqua application it said I was accepted with £1000 credit limit. Remains to be seen though because my credit file is a bit nasty. All settled but even so, not a pretty picture

That's harsh! You can't exactly do much damage with a basic savings account can you?

Have you tried another bank? I'm with the Co-op and have a very basic savings account as well as my 'normal' account:)

How did that happen? I thought banks did not do a credit check for savings account.

Well hopefully I am getting some where with Vanquis,I spoke to a nice helpful lady who was apologetic after I told here i applied on the 29th april and have not heard a thing.She put me on hold and spoke to a different department who said they would definately call me on Monday :cool:
