Just applied for a Flybe card online and it says 'congratulations - your application has been accepted'. Does that mean the application has been successful as in 'I'm getting a car' or successful as it's passed over the web ok?!

yes youve been accepted!! i got the same message and was very shocked but 5 days later card arrived and pin 3 days later!! well done

The last time I posted was when my credit limit got raised by Vanquis. Well, all is going well and I am still paying off the balance in full each month so likely to get another raise soon. BUT, and this is a huge but, I seem to be spending a lot more than I would normally do on my credit card each month and have been doing since I had the bleeding thing. So whilst I am not going into debt, I am sickened to know that I am spending so much money on !!!!!! I don't know every month :(

    Any words of wisdom guys??

Stop using it??? :D Only joking! I try to just use mine for petrol and food shopping. After a previous blip, i now leave it at home inbetween food shop days. As soon as i get home i transfer what i've spent straight over.

    Good luck ;)

well i dont know what is going on in the credit card world at the minute, my hubby applied for both virgin and alliance and leicester, he got a decline by virgin by email after getting the we need more time blah blah message, email came same day as application, and they did not do credit check at all or at least there isnt one showing, he has perfect history, although ith no check its hard to say why?? lived at same addy for 11 yrs, on electoral role from start, works in well paid job, alliance and leicester decline also although they did credit check, i maintain my ethos that its a total lottery, and they decline alot who have perfect history ect

It went from £250 to £750. I know it might not sound like a huge increase to most but when I am maxing it out each month trust it soon becomes a big deal. I don't understand it, I never did this with my debit card even when I had the money in the account to cover the purchase.

It would be okay if I was actually buying things on credit, so to speak, but I am so terrified of debt in any form that I HAVE to clear the full balance each month. As Hopefull said I must just STOP spending

Have you thought about reducing your credit limit to something more manageable like £500.
