evening guys and girls

following on from getting my capital one card i am looking to open a new current account with full debit card, been rejected by citi and A&L in the last 3 months

Has anyone have ideas where to try?

Already have cashminder with coop and they wont upgrade me, have had some negative history with nat west (10 years ago) dont know wether this will put them off

I've not tried to upgrade my cashminder, not seen any reason to have to to be honest. Only problem I have had is with not being able to buy from Waterstones online. No great trauma there, in fact, probably a blessing:D

Still no sign of the elusive Aqua card... I suspect it will evilly arrive tomorrow as I am going to be out all day and will not be about when the postie meanders up my street.

I shall flounce and harrumph tomorrow e'en if this is the case, just so you have warning:D

is that not a worry when info like that go,s on to your credit file.

would they still have record of that 10 yrs later? failing that, you could get a step up account with natwest, which has no credit check but does have a solo card with this account? not sure if youd be interested in that one, keep it going a while and maybe they will upgrade you later?

10 years ago? They won't know anything about it if it was that long ago, Chris, unless it began ten years ago and continued into the past six years.

there just a different spelling of my name its shaun but 6 searches have spelt it sean !!! not sure it matters thos oh one has me as mrs lol

lol my mates always getting his name spelt wrong too, some would call him shawn, needless to say he gets well !!!!!! off! is there nothing you can do to get them to take those mis-spelt names off?

Oh that's easier said than done!

I've managed to get an 'alias' on my file, thanks Barclaycard! But get this, they haven't misspelt my name at all. It's my title! I now have a record saying 'Mis LaurajayneXXXX'. I called and said that was completely rediculous, they've blatenley mistyped 'Miss', take it off. Long story short, they won't do it :rolleyes:
