Yeah that will reduce it greatly but the interest will still acrue albeit in a small amount. Give them a call and ask what you need to pay. Have you used the card for any thng else BEFORE this transaction?

Or was it a cleared balance?

The card transactions always get paid off before the cash so you will have to pay off the whole lot to stop the interest on the cash unfortunately. You could call them and advise that you did not know but they may say that you should have read the terms and cond's etc :(

Yes, you need to clear the ENTIRE balance to stop the Cash Withdrawal accruing interest.

If you only clear a partial amount of the balance, the Cash Withdrawal will not be paid off and will continue to stay on your account accruing interest.

Sneaky, but this is the way Credit Card companies make their profits.
  • Hey guys,

Hope you are all well, and have had good weekends. I got impatient earlier, so instead of waiting to find out my credit limit when my AQUA card came, I rang them up. I've got a £500 limit, better than cap1 gave me, which was £200. So heres to rebuilding my credit file. Which incidentally has all zeros on it with Equifax (is that good? I'm new to all this malarkey)

Ideally, I'm trying to build my credit up so I can apply for a £5000 loan. Do any of you know any good lenders? I don't have an adverse credit history, I've just never bothered with credit before. How many payments do you think I should make on the two cards I have, before I apply for a loan?

Hope all of you had good news in the post today. Take it easy.

    Hi,

Any idea which will be the best card to apply for someone new to the UK? It's actually for my other half and she only been in UK for 6 months. She manage to open LTSB Classic Plus Account in April.

All sub prime cards ask for previous address in UK which she does not have.

    Thanks
    MS
