I did not know you were in the army, well good luck wit ya course, I have just started 4 courses so I can further my career in I.T, it has cost me £4000 over 4 years, but because it is education finance it is interest free, and if I lose my job my payments are covered, I am doing 4 CompTIA I.T courses, A+, N+, S+ and L+, so when I am finished i should be able to top my salary up beyond £30K, which is double what i am curently getting! :cool:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.0

Yes, that is the joy of being skint, to be honest and I know this may sound sad but, I can't justify burning £100 on the lash on a weekend in Newcastle, my days of that are long over, I am 27 but I would rather do something more constructive with the money to be honest if it means stopping in on a Saturday night then so be it.random_fat_bird wrote: »Saturday night and we're all sat on't'itnternet perusing the joys of credit cards.

I'm much the same. why spend £100 on a night out fighting to get to the bar when you can get a few cans and have a night in and have change from a tennerLast Cigarette 24/6/090 -
Totally agree, anyway I don't drink that much these days anyway so when I do go out I am !!!!!! after 3 pint's, many a time have I woken with a stinking hangover and realised that I had blew all my coin, missed a few bills in the past too hence I am trying to get back to normal now, I have been there and would prefer to go out for a nice Indian meal or whatever and have a couple of pints with me meal, though I do still get the Saturday night buzz when I see all the lad's n lass’s off out around the toon, but it seems Newcastle has lost it's class these days, most of the good bars like Bourgeons and Legends are gone, my girlfriend and I were out last month and every bar that we went in to was stinking and the floor covered in glass, beer and puke, even when I was 17/18 the bar's were not that bad, too much violence as well over the town, the bars just cater for toe-rags, slappers and stag do's, never mind I'll just settle for 4 cans from paki-daves round the corner.christhesparky wrote: »I'm much the same. why spend £100 on a night out fighting to get to the bar when you can get a few cans and have a night in and have change from a tenner

I've just stopped drinking totally. Mainly because I make a total t*t of myself when drunk, partly because I have expensive tastes, and Maker's Mark is slightly too expensive a taste for my meagre salary.
Should save me some money, at any rate.0
