One thing a have noticed that Vanquis only seem to report to Equifax, they have not added my account to Call Credit or Experian. :rolleyes:Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? Hello all, I'm new
I've been avidly watching this thread, and would like to join the club lol.
I've just become debt free, and have finally paid off the two CCJs on my file, they're now showing marked as satisfied. After so many years of being turned down for any sort of credit whatsoever, people have finally started saying yes! I had applied for 'sub prime' credit before, and even they'd said no...so you can imagine how dire my file was!
I applied for a Vanquis card, which I've recieved, and have a £250 credit limit. The customer services have been lovely, and I have absolutely nothing bad to say at all!
Then after reading this thread, I thought I'd try Aqua, although was expecting to be turned down to be honest. I recieved my paperwork and signed and returned it, and am waiting for the card....but I couldn't wait to find out my limit, so gave them a call....and have been told that I have £600That's more than I ever got even when I was 'normal' lol.
So thank you Proliant for starting the thread....it's helping me get my life back:cool: Proud DFW Nerd 135 :cool:Sealed Pot Challenge - 0190 -
Hi Laurajane and welcome, I am glad to see you have got your finances sorted out and well done on the Vanquis and Aqua card. The more posts we get on here build up a bigger picture for others who may otherwise be at a low ebb where their finances are concerned.

I haven't never applied for a credit card. I got myself into a litttle bit of financial trouble in 2001/2002. Didn't have a job to pay back my overdraft and stupidly let it go to debt collecters. Anyway, that was all settled years ago.
I first went on this site because I wanted to get my wages paid into something other than a savings account. Found out about "basic" accounts and then managed to get a Citi current account 18 months ago.
I applied for a Capital One Classic card 2 weeks ago. Yesterday I received the card with a £200 limit. I also received a letter from Citi asking if I wanted a credit card (much better apr% and limit).
Thanks for all the help this board has given.0 -

Hi all, noob checking in...been folowing this thread for a couple of weeks now.
I've recently completed an IVA and started to think about improving my credit history as it's in a complete state. I applied for the Vanquis card fully anticpating the standard rejection...lol
It didn't give me an online decision but I received a phone call a few days after saying it had been approved and the card yesterday with a £500 limit on an APR of about 34%.
