No, it's 0% now and for the next 13 months and reverts to the standard APR of 15.9% after that ...

Hey guys, hope you are all well.

Quick question for the seasoned professionals on here. I received my Aqua card pin number this morning, how long does it normally take for the card to come?

Congratulations on your latest Acquisition, Tori.

    Cheers.

    Thanks memyselfandi ...

Once my Aqua PIN arrived ... it was about 3-5 after the card arrived .. :)

  • If you apply for a prepaid card from Cashplus there is an option to get a £50 loan, which you pay off over a year, this goes on your credit file and apparently helps improve your credit rating.

    Cheers Tori.

I'm sure I can wait that long. I'm more interested in what limit they are going to give me, than the card itself.

Give them a ring ... They'll tell you over the phone ...

Just a quick update, I have added the Cash Plus Pre-Paid Master Card to the front page of the thread because with the £50 loan it seems to fall in to this Sub-Prime category.

Hi, no I don't bank with HSBC and as I had been tuned down by other mainstream lenders for credit cards, I was surprised but pleased to get it ... So far, I've been very pleased with the level of service I've received. I phoned to activate my card today and they didn't even attempt to try and sell any PPI or anything ...

  • thanks to Proliant for starting this thread. It prompted me to apply for a Vanquis card. I had received an application in the post and was going to bin it, but I decided to apply and see what happened. I have three satisfied defaults on my credit report one due to drop off in August this year, another one in December, and my last one due to drop off in April next year so I wasn't too hopeful of getting one. Today however I got a phone-call at work from an extremely nice lady at Vanquis. She went over my application and then confirmed I had been successful and have a £1000 credit limit.:D The apr will be just over 39% but as I will be paying in full every month that doesn't matter!. I thought I would have to wait until next year to start and rebuild my credit rating, but now I can start now. I no longer feel like a second class citizen and am still in shock!!.
    Thanks again :T
