  • Also I was thinking , this thread has being going since May - I wonder how people's perspective and experiences have changed due to this thread and people helping each other....?
  • Well I rang monument again because I hadn't even gotten the letter that explained all their problems and I spoke to a very nice woman who told me that my monument card was posted 3 days ago and has a nice £200 limit on it.

I'm so happy that I can finally rebuild my rating! How's everyone else doing?

Morning people, how are you all?
Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

  • Hi All,

Got my Flybe card and I am well pleased, I am in band c and I have a 2k limit!!! Not that I will ever spend that! So for me that I have gotten so far, Flybe, Capital One, Vanquis, Littlewoods, Littlewoods direct and my new A & L Premier Direct Current account. Already giving me green zeros is Kays, T Mobile contract and my Coop Cashminder account. SO I am well on the way of establishing and rebuilding my credit record.

I am well pleased and if I hadn't of read this thread from start to end I wouldn't of realised how I could do this as in future I may decided to purchase a property. I actually feel like a human being again rather than a financial lepa!!!!

So from what I have read is it right once you may a small purchase from a catalogue and clear it they continue to give you green zeros for ever more?

Also if you have catalogues run by the same group do they set up individual accounts on your credit record to get those green zeros?

PLUS were is that hunky soilder guy who's photo I looked at hehehe!

Thanks to this thread ive got a T-mobile contract Yorkshire bank current account plus, jd williams account(jacamo, brilliantgift.co.uk) Littlewoods account, but i can't get a credit card though. so i'm leaving it for a while and let the 0's build up.
  • Hi all. This is a bit weird, I finished an IVA last month so I still have defaults showing on my file, Max Recovery seem to have removed two even though they aren't due for removal until next year but the majority (in value) are still there (totalling about £13,000), dating 2003 default, and obviously the completed IVA is there too. Wescot and Max Recovery have yet to mark these accounts as 'Satisfied', although I received notice from Wescot this morning that they are going to.

Wanting to rebuild a credit history asap I decided to pay the £5.95 just to check my score and was astounded to find it was 816, regarded as 'fair'! The guide said my score was such because I had no CCJs or bankruptcy in the last six years and am on the electoral roll and I have alot of zeroes against my current account. I just thought the minor matter of my defaults and IVA would automatically flag a really bad score.

In peoples' experience are these an accurate reflection of your likelihood of successfully getting sub-prime credit? I've added a 'notice of correction' a while ago, in light of this score maybe I should remove it to make applications faster and less thorough?

    Evening guys

How is everyone tonight, well checked my equifax today and pleased to note that I now have some nice shiny green blobs on my MBNA and after this months payment will make it 4 green blobs, only 2 more months till the magic 6 months are up and will see if they upgrade or leave it as is, also noticed another default has dropped off, got to get intouch with RBS over a default even tho its paid off, just a pain in the ars to get these things done.
