As I have been using my Vanquis and Aquacard for onine purchaces a lot ( and paying off when bill arrives) I have been thinking about site security. I try and use only reputable companies, verified by Visa etc but have realised to disadvantage of not having online access to CC statements

I check my bank statement every day but can only check CC if I ring them , my phone bill is going to be massive this month.

Maybe I need to look for a card that will give me online access..........still waiting for reply from Ulster Bank so if turned down for it will have to look elsewhere, although do not have much choice lol

    Aquacard £250 limit
    Vanquis £250 limit
    [strike]flybe[/strike] declined
    [strike] Monument[/strike] declined

Thought it was time to join instead of lurking, must say the advice on here is excellent.I have quite a few cards, the ones i have are quite good, they are halifax, mbna, and cap1,i have a littlewoods card that has a horrific apr.I applied for a jjb card and got accepted straight away, this was last night.A couple of questions, is the jjb card ok and does anyone know what the typical limit is? and also do you think it would be worth applying for a flybe card?many thanks in advance for any replies
  • right guys i cant get accepted for these cards do ya think its cos i aint on electorol roll?

    Thank you Sammy

I don't know the limit I forgot to ask  but they did offer me a cash advance of £250 which would be taken off my card so I assume it might be £250?. I declined :D

Though she did mention a 46.8% APR

Sounds silly but I feel it's a little step forward to rebuilding my life :o

If she offered you a cash advance of £250 then the limit may be higher :j . Whenever I speak to them they tell me how much cash I can withdraw and I think it might be 50% of your balance - or something like that

Crikey, 46.8% . Although I do find it a good incentive that because the apr is so high, I make sure I clear it every month!!

Does not sound silly at all. All of us on here have some bad credit in one form or another - and these cards and the support on here allow us to rebuild ourselves. A bit like therapy really lol

    Hi Doelani :hello:

I know, it's really random that they don't have online access - I find it annoying. With everyone else you can, except Vanquis!!

Have you tried MBNA? Quite a few of us on here have been successful, even Darcy lol

Hi And, and welcome to the thread :j Well done on the cards that you got. Look after them and they will look after you lol. I'm afraid that I don't know much about JJB or Flybe. One of the others will be along soon with info I'm sure.

Can I ask what nasties you have on your file?

    Hi Purplecats :j

Yep, being on the electoral roll does have quite a big say so on getting accepted or not. Why aren't you on the roll??? Get yourself on it lol
