I wonder if buying a pair of socks from littlewoods, and then paying that off in full every month helps your credit rating...LOL0

Hi,
I've been really inspired reading all your posts and am after some advice. I had very bad credit 6 years ago. I have an RBs basic account with a solo card but no chq book. I have just applied to them to upgrade it. I work and am living in rented accomodation for less than a year. i am on the electoral register. The only current credit I have is a Littlewoods account which I appled for in April. I have run it properly and last month they increased my limit from the initial £600 to £850. My question is..is it worth my trying to apply for a credit card and if so which one? My ex husband had some problems with Vanquis at my previous address though I have no financial connection to him.
Many thanks0 -
Whoah... looks like this is my lucky month!
At work, we've been waiting for a payrise since April, as it was delayed to "see how this year's results went". I was told last week by a senior manager that the rises would take place this month, effective October 1st. Now, we usually get the letters and payslip together on the 25th or thereabouts, but often the payslips are online before that... so I just checked to see if mine was there...
What did I discover...
Eight per cent pay rise :T:j:T:j:T0 -

You should be able to apply for one of the main ones without any problems. My problems were 4 years ago, and I recently managed to get a Barclaycard Platinum and a Tesco Clubcard Mastercard. Give it a try and see. If you get refused, don't keep applying though, as multiple applications lower your credit score.
what limits u get with tesco and barclaycard?0
