Hi doelani,

Can I ask a couple of quick questions please?

Like you up to last month I only had a basic account with visa electron.
Now have full account with cheque card and £200 O/D but no luck with CC from my bank.

I have applied to Vanquis and Aqua but did not get accepted on-line but not refused either.
How did they let you know you had been approved, how long before you heard and did it take long for the CC to arrive?

Evening All,

Mr P & Clio - arrrrggghhhh!!!! Got the Acer laptop and the bloody thing doesn't work :mad: . It arrived yesterday and I spent the whole evening installing Norton and it kept crashing and in the end it just didn't work and to contact my system administrator!!!!! So I went to Dabs website and filled in the Returns jobby, and it's going back tomorrow so I better get my money back!!!

On a brighter note, I have decided to get a Mac Book. Just spoke to my sister who's going to order it tonight and save me £105 as she gets 15% off :j

Bloody Acer lol. And when I filled in the Returns page it said a replacement model wasn't available as it has been discontinued. No wonder!!!

Well your the system admin lol, and norton is the love child of the devil it,s cr.ap does the new laptop have vista installed??

hmm, never had any issues with acer, it sounds like a software problem with Norton..yuk, hate the stuff, but never mind, hope you get your refund Sam, and on the subject of Apple Mac..

Yes it has Vista - not that I got to see any of it lol

Norton's pants. But I thought I should put some anti virus stuff on it cos knowing my luck I'd go on the net and get a load of viruses straightaway!

Not your words I hope lol. I can't wait!! I was looking in Comet today and they are just lush . Wouldn't want an air tho - there's no dvd/cd drive

Anyways, I'm getting the cheapest one possible with my £105 discount so I'm happy I would've got a refurb but they only have the pros and they cost more.

I got both decisions by post after about a week and think I had the cards within about 2 weeks from applying.

Hubby got an Aquacard and got his decission online

Thank you for the answers.I think I may get refused for Aqua as BOS and I have have debts with them in the past...keeping finders crossed for Vanquis.
