    the normal one i always get i will have to wait 7-10 days for a answer got that with all cards i applied for
  • Is it true that a balance transfer takes bout 7 to 10 days??

    And is all the info the phone operator needs is your amount and card number? (assuming security has been completed obviously)

    Any help/advise welcome lol

    You prob get that message as you have notice of corrections on your file. But that's a good thing as then you get your application assessed by a person not a computer.

    Evan, it should normally take about 5 working days. I did mine on the Monday and it was cleared by the Friday.

    Yes, all they will take is the card number and the amount. Who are you bt'ing to?
  • I was just having some trouble earlier, im transferring balances from vanquis and cap 1 and barcalaycard initial to my flybe card.
    First operator from flaybe told me they couldnt do it as it would be "theft" and that i had to phone the other companies ...which was wrong, as each and every company told me!
    so i get back to flybe, and another operator asks for amounts/cards etc, then asks for sort code and account number!
    he was insistent at first, then i said this was the only info I had (we did security)...then he said ok no problem, it should clear within ten days.

    Confused me !

    not completely true i have a notice of correction on all of my files however i have had a few instant declines from applications!
    you cant change yesterday
    but you can make tomorrow better

    Darcy, then that's probably why you've been declined. Some CC companies will go to the effort to check the details manually if the computers can't access the info instantly. Others don't refer the applications manually and they're the ones who give instant declines. Un fortunately it is not always a benefit to have notice of corrections

    Evan, that's pants. You phone up Flybe, you give them the cc details that the balances are to be transferred from, there is no account no or sort code, just cc number. And they do the rest. It looks like the first couple of times you were lumped with a couple of numpties!! Sounds like it's sorted now tho
  • Thanks lol. I did get quite irate i must admit, at having to phone around a million different 0870/0875 numbers!

    When he started demanding a sort code/acc no I lost my temper slightly.....I hope it's sorted!

    If I find it hasn't.....I shalt kill him lol
