I currently have a cap 1 one card and recently tried for a vanquis card, but they have knocked me back, just tried the monument card and they have also knocked me back.
I have/had bad credit in the past, but dont have problems in paying my existing loan or my cap 1 cards, in thpught vanquis and monument would be easier as they are aimed at bad credit.
On the monument card I have only been in property for 15 months, dont know if that would affect it.
Anyway have asked for my credit report from experian first of all to see what they have listed down and I suppose take it from there. Mortgage never missed a payment either, cant ujnderstand why they said no?0 -
I missed a phone call from Vanquis this morning, they wanted to speak to me when I phoned back but I had to wait for them to call me, applied a while ago.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? I am annoyed, three times today Vanquis have tried to contact me, the first two times they did not let the phone ring long enough and the third time I was on my mobile, I asked the lass to wait a few seconds and then she just hung up, I have spoken to Vanquis and they say it is an outbound call centre and they cant put me through, they will not tell me why they want to speak to me and I aint waiting for their call any longer, has anyone had this before with Vanquis, I do not hold an account with them although I have applied for a card off them a few weeks ago. I anybody could shed some light on this I would be grateful.Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. I have heard terrible things about Vanquis and Provident customer service (at least more negative than the few positive ones). If you feel you've already have enough credit products then maybe you should let this one? Do you really need a card from them?0

After you apply and if you are accepted they give you a welcome call and try and flog you PPI or try and make you take a cash advance from your credit card. I let them go through their spiel and politely turned them down.0 -
Just rang their customer services and they said no decision has been reached; they are still considering my application.

They sure are taking their time over there at the Vanquis Office. I've read Provident's annual report and they say they have 350 staff and 300,000 customers (less than 10% market share of sub-prime card market). Surely they can't be that many new customers. The longest I've waited for my Green charge card was AMEX which took 3 weeks from the day I applied to receiving my card.0 -
Just checked my credit score with experian, 76.
They said too many searches. No $h|t sherlock!
