I think MBNA Standard MasterCard also targets at subprime.

Well if it does then it must be pretty choosey cos they knocked me back, think it was because I cant be verified on the electoral register for more than three years, I only have two years on the system.

Yes I know, but these cards are targeted at people with poor credit ratings etc, well done on the JJB card, they knocked me back...suprise, suprise, anyway I hold a Capital One Classic @ 30% and a Monument Visa @ 26.6% and it appears that they are lower than different flavours of MBNA.

Haha, Proliant. You only got your vanquis one a few weeks ago. I'm not surprised, you have applied for as much credit as I have recently

Great idea for a thread. I have had my Aqua Mastercard for a year now, initial credit limit of £600 but this has been increased in 3 increments over the year to £1950. My only beef with them is that initially the apr on the card was 34.9% then about 4 months ago was increased to 38.9%. This is despite using the account every month, never making a late payment or going overlimit and most months paying interest on a (small) balance. When I called them to question it they said it was a standard measure, nothing to do with how I was running the account, they were doing this to every account?!

This aside have been very pleased with the card, though obviously hoping to ditch it soon now I've built a reasonable history with it. Does anyone know how high the maximum limits are. The website says £2200, is this the maximum initial limit or just the maximum they will offer anybody?

Do you have a poor credit history of defaults etc?
