ps wonder why they ask about credit card info when its a current account??

Prob, because I applied for the matching cc too ;)

I'm a girl, I need to have matching accessories lol
  • Well ....have to say Thank you to all of you who contribute to this thread it has kept me informed and above all entertained. plus I have learnt more since finding this thread than I thought possible so Thank you all.:T

Oh by the way have two defaults both from early 2004 one settled one outstanding in the process of settling and getting removed I hope.

Through reading this thread I have applied for and been accepted for MBNA card straight acceptance:eek: . £1,000 credit limit.
Have also applied for the AL account but did not for some reason put my email address on so awaiting the post...bit more exciting I think. thats my excuse and I am sticking to it anyhow.:p nothing to do with my "grey moment"

Already have the "obvious" sub prime Capital One with a paltry £200 credit limit; and a Vanquis with a more reasonable £750 just raised from £500.
Also have the LTSB Duo (had since pre default banked with them for 28 years) ....with a fair limit they keep trying to raise I keep requesting they it stays the same.

My good history 5 year loan repayed with LTSB never a late or missed payments on this or the credit cards.....just the two defaults......which drag me down....my own fault but I am playing the waiting game now...and rebuilding my pre default good credit history.

    Oh yes Hello :grinheart everyone.

    Hi Bluerover and welcome :hello:

Well done on moving up that ladder :) It is a waiting game, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. I owe a lot to this thread. I have been paying off my debts and trying to keep my file clean. I never even knew that sub prime cards existed, and if it wasn't for this thread, I wouldn't have even thought of applying for any credit until all defaults had "dropped off"!!

Because of this thread, I am now a proud owner of a Cap 1 (£1600), Vanquis (£250), MBNA (£3100) and as of tonight an A&L Premier account (with £100 cashback :D )

Stick with us and we'll all get there together :D
