right im a bit gutted that they have only preapproved a limit of £100 but said it could increase when they actually receive my credit agreement!!

however i asked about a limit increase and it is automatic if you are within your limit with no missed payment its practacally guarantee'd to go up on your 4th statement

Darcy, at least you got a bloody card???? You will get an increase in just a few months...patience is a virtue :D

Look at the positives. They have refused you before, and now they have accepted you. So use it wisely and you shall reap the awards.

What design did you choose. I got the cute puppy :D
  • on the subject of cap1 i need some advice, my cap1 is clear - do i ditch it?

ive just found out about the free equifax reports so that is a reason to keep it, pros and cons of keeping or ditching anyone?

the fact that they havent ever given me an increase in 3 years makes me think they never will!

    Hi Fairy :hello:

What is your limit with Cap 1? In the last 3 years you've had the card have you ever missed a payment or gone over the limit? If no, it might be worth calling them to see if you can increase the limit. Maybe threatening to leave may bump it up for you??

Do you have any other cc apart from MBNA? It will be good for your credit record to have 3 years good relationship with same cc company.

The free reports is a definite bonus in my book :)
  • I still haven't received my estatement yet, which is odd as my others are all dated the 19th. I was hoping I'd find out if they had given me an increase today, argggg.

Congratulations to everyone who got an increase, spend it wisely.
  • :hello: Hi Sammy!

Limit is £200, dont actually want an increase but i think after 3 years should be offered one! i know i went over limit twice in in first year, but am a reformed character now and have been for at least 2 years :D I just wonder if they have an internal black mark against me for my slip ups  I recentley emailed them about it and just got a standard response about how they regularly review accounts, no other cards - so maybe should keep then?

I have been with Vanquis since April with a limit of £250. I telephoned them a few days back to get my balance so I could clear it and I asked about credit limit reviews. I was told that they happen every 3-6 months and as long as you make a payment every month it should increase.

I can't even get £100 from them! When I applied a few months back they refused me and put a CIFAS marker on my file - application fraud.
