I have no idea. I asked them but they refused to tell me. I think it could be my address history (I haven't always been on the electoral roll so they can't trace me) or my employment history (I don't work due to a disability and won't be able to and I am never sure whether to opt for retired or unemployed. Some banks say use one thing (medically retired) and others say use the other (unemployed) so me choosing between the two may constitute application fraud)

    I have a bi-polar disorder
  • what you guys think about this?

i have a credit limit from cap 1 for £500 but balance of £250ish and paying it off in full next week. Was thinking of calling them to pay it off instead of online and say am closing account due to getting better card from MBNA and say i have a £1500 limit with them ( which i only have £500 hehe ) and see what they say about increasing my limit with them or something.

    worth a try?

I would only cancel the CapOne card if you really don't need it.
  • am not planning on cancelling it but maybe worth a try to call there bluff to see if they do increase it

What if you don't call their bluff and they do cancel it? Can you do without it?

i did not have a clue what you were on about so i checked on Wikipedia man that really sucks my mate dad had a similar situation when his wife died in a car crash and i know it takes a long time to fix if it ever can be fixed just remember there are people who care and anyone who put you down are extreme idiot who have never had problems themselves!
