I was in Town today, and went into Barclays to pay some money into my current account, and I'm stood there quietly filling out my paying in slip when this young guy who works there comes up to me and starts waffling on about how he could see what they could do with my account. I gave him my card so he could bring up the details on computer, and then he looks at me and says "Oh no, there's nothing we can do".
B****y H, the cheeky little s**t. I didn't ask him to start rooting around my account, and I left there feeling like utter carp. I wouldn't mind, but all of my wages is still in there plus my money transfer from MBNA so there is a fair bit amount of money in there. It must of flashed up "bad credit"!!!!!!
I don't like Barclays any more. I never chose to bank with them, my account got transferred with the Woolwich. Grrrr!!!!!!!!!
Darcy - Good luck with BG. So what do you think they will say when you call them back on Monday??
How have you been running your current account with Barclays? Sounds like you have a low internal behavioural score with them?0 -

After getting my letter from Tesco about my application for their credit card asking for 3 months bank statements, I sat yesterday and printed out the bank statements, in all about 20 pages, (with LLoyds TSB a week to a page) sent them recorded to Tesco along with Payslips and covering letter as to why my P60 is not a true reflection of my slary for last year(due to OH death), do you think that there is hope for a yes here, to be honest was expecting a straight no when I applied."In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.0

Will they definitely accepted printed versions? Quite often they will only accept original statements.0 -
Hope so when I spoke to lady on phone she seemed to think it would be fine if not can always order genuine copies, maybe they will get fed up sifting through 20 pages of bank statements lol."In Italy for thirty years under the Borgias they had warfare, terror, murder and bloodshed but they produced Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci and the Renaissance.0
