hey guys i have just been on the phone to british gas recoveries and was wanting some ideas thrown in the mix
right the letter to british gas is to remove my defaults that are satisfied from 2005 i received them not long after my wife died leaving me with my son of just 4 months i dont remember having received a default notice to either default would i just ask them to have the it in them to show me some sympathy and remove the defaults as i paid them off as soon as i sorted my life out after such a loss??? or go down a different path any help would be great as i would like to send this letter rd tomorrowyou cant change yesterdaybut you can make tomorrow better0 -
Hi,
From what I've heard of British Gas I wouldn't bank on them caring too much about the circumstances but you could try that first if you wanted.
I personally would go down the legal route and am adding a link to a website that might help. I wish you the best of luck with it, have you tried your local CAB office?

You are officially bonkers - getting up at stupid o'clock
Just a quickie (get your minds out the gutter - I meant question!) - does the deposit cheque for MBNA have to be your own. I ask because OH has cheque book in his name so I never bothered trying to get one and I can't imagine the charges on a £100 postal order! Could OH provide the cheque?
Does anyone know the answer to the cheque question? I know I should just ring them but I hate the phone so thought you guys might know!! :rotfl:0 -

address

Dear Sir or Madam
After recently obtaining a copy of my credit file from Experian I was concerned to note that your company has placed two "Default" notices against my name dated 21/01/05 and 01/04/05 which I paid in full as soon as I became aware of them.
Further to this I have no recollection of ever receiving such a notice for either default, and I therefore require you to substantiate this data at your earliest convenience.
1. My address at the time of defaults was;
address
2. You must supply me with a signed true and certified copy of the original default notice
3. Any deed of assignment if the debt was sold on
I would request that this data is provided to myself within the next 28 days, if you are unable to provide this data then I must insist that it is removed from my files as unsubstantiated.
Yours faithfully
Mr darcy

Was saying i have been accepted for a £500 mastercard and got me to sign credit agreement etc etc and at the very end it said IF i pass all the checks etc then i should be accepted.
What does this mean now. As i submitted the application and then it went onto telling me about the card and limit etc does it mean i have been accepted?0 -
