When you say cash advance you do mean a balance transfer to your current account, also there will be a fee of around £89 to pay for the BT.

Yes it would be a BT to my bank account. I understand that there will be a c.£100 charge for the pleasure.

And also from what I have read on other threads, I assume that if I do a BT at this promo rate then I must not make any purchases on this card, as any payments will be made against the BT first?

    Many thanks

Yeah dont spend as you will only clear the debt from your payments for the bt 1st, so best just to use another card. thats a good rate is that near as good as 0% your bt fee should be 2.98% unless its better than that it should say on your paperwork. so to me option 2 looks the cheapest but someone else may offer you more advice SG:)

Since when has the world of computer software design been about what people want? This is a simple question of evolution. The day is quickly coming when every knee will bow down to a silicon fist, and you will all beg your binary gods for mercy.

What apr are you paying, it may be better to go and get another card if the apr is not a good one.

Morning, go a few questions for you guys

    1) 1st I have a cap one credit card back a good few months back with a £200 limit and after about 5 months they increased it to £500. I am managing it really well. always regular payments made to the balance around 5 a month. Balance completely clear now but i am not going to be using this car now so should i expect a credit limit increase anytime soon.

    2) I just got accepted for a MBNA card which am over the moon and will be using this one due to interest rates are lower. Also how long does it take them to increase the credit limit?

    3) Has anyone with poor credit rating been able to get accepted for the bank of scotland high interest rate card there offering now for people with ppor rating.?

This is the link for the bank of Scotland Standard Credit Card, being touted on their site for people with no credit history or poor cedit rating, limit is from £250-£2000. May well be another contender for the sub prime club.

The apr is 27.9% not great.
