I don't think anyone was seriously suggesting that jgjet takes his PC back for a refund. Someone suggested something earlier which I disagreed with, but as far as I can see, anything to do with jgjet's pc was said in jest. If the PC jgjet has does not work, then he is allowed to take it back for a replacement. He wouldn't be able to geta refund on it anyway, as his receipt will indicate that a full refund has already been given. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

Ohhh...I never saw that post! As far as I know, he would only be entitled to a refund of the cost to him. As he has already had a full refund, that would mean he'd get nothing. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

quite so, just what I thought, but others disagree with that which I think is what prompted the discussion0 -
Yeah was me, just wondered - interesting position though isn't it? I'll probably ebay it, but at the same time, my hard drive randomly clicks and no dvdrw so may take the parts from both and make a super duper computer lol0

Not to mention a bit suspect because that may be obtaining something (a refund on goods you paid nothing for) dishonestly and that's against the law. I couldn't do it morally, but neither would I do it because I wouldn't want to be waiting for my collar to be felt by the law should Tesco decide I had tried to obtain property (in this case, money) by deception.
Drop the greed, guys, you might just push your luck too far.
Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but once again Tesco do have a pricing policy and some have gained by sheer luck and not motivated by greed.0 -

Not sure about this one!
If the product was bought and refunded by an overcharge, the customer still paid the full amount be4 getting the refund, the refund is tesco's policy of their own goodwill!0 -
I havent found any of these pricing errors in the Tescos I visit and I have to admit I'm pleased. It means that people dont appear to be getting overcharged in my area.Auntie Savingsgirl 24/9/06 :j0

Redfox, you're right. However, there have been posts in the past talking about getting CDs refunded where the title isn't what they want. They then go back to CS, maybe in a different store even, and get an exchange for something they do want (or haven't already duplicated).
This is equally immoral!
Seeing as most CS staff now mark your receipt, it's likely that this kind of practice won't be allowed any more.
Mr T's poilcy will not affect your statutory rights as a consumer, so if a refunded item breaks, is rotten (within sellby dates), etc. you should be entitled to take it back for a replacement or perhaps a refund, but I doubt that Mr T's staff would entertain giving you a full refund of the ORIGINAL price seeing as you'd already had that back anyway and I seriously doubt that the law would be on your side either.0 -
Odd_Fellow wrote:WHY ARE YOU WAITING? What are you waiting for? They've only got to remove the shelf label to enable them to really argue the point. You may have a stickered product, but given that you're currently £448 out of pocket, I think it would be prudent to get this sorted ASAP.
I was waiting for other fellow users to grab a bargain before highllighting it back to Mr T.
As another user has stated, the price is on the box (printed) so I can't see there being a problem.0
