If the product was bought and refunded by an overcharge, the customer still paid the full amount be4 getting the refund, the refund is tesco's policy of their own goodwill!
I think you'd be hard pushed to enforce that, as Tesco has already shown "good will" by refunding the incorrect price and allowing you to keep the product. I doubt any court in the land would force Tesco to pay up a second time, as you've already had the product for free. A court would do the sensible thing here, which would be to state that you have suffered no financial loss, as you have not paid anything for the item, therefore Tesco would not be forced to refund you again just because you no longer wanted it.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

• If you are not happy with the quality of any of our products please bring them back within 28 days with your receipt and we will happily refund or replace the item.
• If you change your mind within 28 days, we are happy to refund or exchange the product, providing you have your receipt and the product is returned as sold.[\QUOTE]
Even though they have issued an overcharged refund, I can still take it back because I don't want it, and they will have to offer me another refund? I like the idea of that, getting another load of £448 on my credit card, or even if it was £349, fantastic!
OK, you take it back to Tesco. Tesco sees on your receipt that you've already been refunded on this item. Tesco agrees to give you a full refund of what you eventually paid for the item, which is 0p. Your receipt shows that you paid nothing for this item, and that is what you'd get back from Tesco. In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

They've built themselves up to no. 1 on the supermarket chart. How would it be if they pulled the policy? It would effectively be saying to all their customers "Sorry guys, we can't guarantee our price integrity". Asda and Sainsbury would have a field day!
I carn't see it being a problem Tesco dropping this policy, ASDA had the same policy up until a few years ago, now they just give you the difference back plus £2 on an ASDA card.0 -
Has anyone got a link to the tesco misprice policy which i can print off to get the money back for the computer?
i cant believe they'll just accept me saying that i've been overcharged can i have it for free.
I;'d feel better if i could take a copy of their policy of this in, does anyone know where it is?0 -
it'll be up in store behind CS, or see the first page of the thread (or is it the actual misprices thread? either way, it;s posted in one of these two)It's BOUGHT (to Buy), not BROUGHT (to bring) AND you cannot be frauded, only DEfrauded.
Please do not buy animals from a pet store. Visit your local sanctuary or centre and give a good home to an unloved or abandoned animal.0 -
You shouldn't need a print off. It's usually displayed on a poster near customer services.0

you would be better off pointing out the large sign in store, and the smaller signs at the tills. just check where they are on your way in
if you go in with a print of the internet, you could get off on the wrong start, in my experience the more beligerant retail staff, go "off the website ? that's the internet right, we don't do the internet here, you've got to speak to the interent people about that, its all different, we're nothing to do with the internet, right ?"
keep it simple, "an internet printout" might only confuse the conversation and get it off to a bad start0 -

I phoned the store first and spoke to a Manager, i told him i had been overcharged , he just said to bring receipt in for a refund, and that i didn't have to take in the full system.
Maybe try ringing be4 entering!0 -
How sickening is this:
i went into the durham tesco extra this morning at 9 on my way to work to check if there was any of these computers about. as the store is getting done up all of the electricals had been moved to a temp part which was a big tent. Lo and behold four of the computers are sat on a pallet in the middle of one of the aisles with the 349.93 stickers on them. i asked if there was a pric check machine anywhere in the store but was told there wasnt so i thought id bite the bullet and just take it to the till, if it comes up at the right price i could have taken it back for a refund. anyway it rings up as £448 - woohoo. i give my card and find out that there is insufficient funds on it arrrrrgh. i ask if i could check at the hole in the wall to see if i was much short and found out that i only had 300 available so couldnt get it.
so i goes back in and tell the check out lady i'll put it back and come back in later on to get it. anyway i go to work and manage to scrounge another 200 quid off my mate and go back in to pick it up at 12. get there and find that they've put the flat screen computers in the space where the originals were and i ask someone where theyve gone and they tell me they got pulled an hour ago as they were ringing up the wrong price. couldnt believe it!
serves me right for not getting a credit card - devastated.0
