I got this week in tesco
Razorlight up all night sel £9.95 scan £9.95 chart poster £7.95
Basement jaxx the singles sel £9.95 scan £9.95 chart poster £7.95
She atempted to give me the differance but i was having none of it and i got my wayi got 3 of each
:j
Jeffery Deaver the twelfth card (book) sel £9.95 scan £9.95 Sticker £7.95
No problems on this one and i got 2
Antonio Carluccio's ITALIA (Cooking book) sel £14.95 scan £14.95 Sticker £12.95
This one was abit hard as i got 7:silenced: (a bit greedy i know but i thought i would take the p**s)
The woman had to get authorisation, when she came back she said they would only refund the difference, i was not having that so i wanted to speak to the manager so i did.
The manager said the same as the woman, sel was the correct price and that was what it scanned through at so that was the price, even though it had a lower priced sticker on it still didn't count as a lower priced item. I explained to her the policy was if the sel was wrong or the product label was wrong they would refund and let you keep the item, he face went white (she had a nice tan also) as she was reading the policy as she asked me where it said that to which i obliged and showed her. She wanted me to show her where the books where, i showed her. She said she would honour it but she was not best pleased (shame she wasn't as i was :rotfl: ) I like it when you get one over on them. The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. A friend of mine went to our local Tesco last night where the lovely cs lady told him in a friendly way that tesco are up in arms about this abuse of their policy, they have told security to follow well known offenders round the store and if they seem to be placing alot of one product in their basket/trolley to stop them at the till before transaction is made and say "i believe we have over priced some of your shopping do you mind us checking this out" nothing we can do as transaction has not been made, she also said that they have to put an email circular out to other stores if WE notice a pricing error and stores have to check their emails every half hour, perhaps we should go shopping incognito. Just goes to prove Tesco would rather spend time and money on us rather then getting their prices correct in the first place, greedy bast....s , He was also informed it is against tesco rules for anyone to be taking photos of products i did call hq on this one and it is correct something to do with privacy of their customers.0

Seems they have a rather selective opinion of privacy.
Security guard allowed to follow person around store harassing customer, (as we have heard previously forget who it was now they keep pictures of offenders in office, someone who had got refund and was doing job when noticed his picture as 'persistent offender', any takers ??) Tesco's view perfectly acceptable no breach of privacy whatsoever.
Person takes picture of SEL knowing that it could conviently disappear, etc, no person on picture, Tescos view Breach of Privacy.
Action to take : make sure that at least one more offender in store than available security guards, the one not being followed gets the refund and splits the proceeds, (obviously helping his/her self to the normal refund amount multiplied by the number of individuals in the 'JOB'). :rotfl:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Tesco are greedy but some people are just the same trying to buy hundreds of the same misprice and then get items free so that they can sell on Ebay etc. Its people like that, that wreck it for the rest. I take advantage, I don't take the p1*s

Tescos won't be interested whether you are taking advantage or taking the P1*s, or have been really overcharged (although these guys don't normally notice anyway), they'll still harass you if they see fit. I don't think its an experience you'd take kindly too. They gave me this when I only had a couple of misprice joints in the trolley, having been overcharged once in that store previously, and I hadn't picked up hundreds of the same item, just 1 or 2 of 5 different items. I guarantee that you won't be saying 'good' when they follow you around, harass you and threaten you, etc, which they may if you have had a refund, it'll make you mad as hell, and even more determined to nail them at every opportunity. You are a 'Persistant Offender', as is the case with anyone who has had an R&R, whether you like it or not.
Their sharp practices have been found out and they don't like it. I see no problem in purchasing as many as you see fit (although they may say the bulk buy rule of 6 applies). MAYBE IF THEY GET STUNG HARD ENOUGH THEY'LL GET IT RIGHT ???
I don't sell my items on ebay, I use them myself, exchange them or give them away to friends or family, but I see no issue if someone does want to sell excess items on ebay, throw them in the dustbin, give them to charity, or whatever. The point of the matter should be the Tescos need to get their pricing integrity sorted, its an absolute disgrace, that folk can walk into stores throughout the country and have the same item mispriced in them all. That's not human error that's blatant sharp practice, and they know they have been caught out.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

I agree Tesco need to sort themselves out.
However, i do have an issue with people throwing items in the dustbin...why bother getting them to create rubbish just to prove a point(which has Tesco has missed for the past 10+ years this policy has been running)? Won't one item do?
Charity, okay, same as giving them away to friends.
Selling on ebay. No. Out of order. You're making a profit from OTHER CONSUMERS not tesco.Completely against the ethics of the site and summed up quite well by one of the posters further back in this thread who stated they wanted to find a CD for free in their local tesco, not pay for one on ebay.
