Got my first r&r yesterday @ Chelmsford:

double gloucester cheese pack £1.24, sel 1.19.

cs girl says i had one of these few days ago, lol.

Went back today and picked up another 5 packs, no problem at cs (no name/address or manager required).

    Also no CD/DVD/game mis-prices i could find.

    Thanks Mr. T

You shouldn't be able to be overcharged on 5 packs as the 3 for £3 offer will kick in! Then you can claim the o/c on the remaining two. If you were refunded on 5 you were very lucky!

  • Firstly I would just like to say thankyou to everyone who posts on this thread, you have all inspired me.
Today I took my first visit to my local tesco (not the usual shop I do, it is about 40 minutes away from me) but anyway, I had my pen and paper noting down my prices as I shopped but unfortunately I didn't notice any misprices (although I did pick up my temporary clubcard for the day :D ) Not sure if I was looking in the right places anyway, and I didn't see a self scanner anywhere.
The store was alot smaller than I thought (it's the Stalham store in Norfolk) so I think my next trip will be to a bigger store in Norwich sometime soon. :D

Had a really pleasant R&R experience yesterday, for a change! :j

Had two mispriced CDs (Sugababes and Bryn Whatsisname - thanks to OPs) and the guy at CS says, "I'm starting to recognise you now!" However, he continues to say that I should keep getting my freebies as Tesco deserve it for not sorting themselves out! Now that's the attitude I like to see in Tesco CS staff :T :T :T

Love it when I get great service like that :A
  • The CDs in my tesco are in plastic boxes that have a thick seam that goes through the barcode so they don't scan

Yeah, a lot of them are like that. I took a chance with one of the CDs yesterday when it had a sticker of "3 for £16 or £7.97 each" and the SEL was something other than £7.97! ;) And it worked :D
  • Disney princess once upon a dream songs book - sticker 4.97 charged 6.97
Fairy book with wings - sticker 2.97 charged 3.97
Refunded at Horwich lancs & she forgot to write on the reciept - so they were swapped for 2 books i wanted at leyand

  • i then wrote to the chief exec on tues and rec'd a very prompt telephone call on thurs from a lady at the chief exec office, she said that i had indeed been overcharged and if i called into chorley store they would refund the £169.99, woo hoo!! i then asked her whether this was being done to pacify me, or whether it was infact an overcharge, and she said 'of course it was an overcharge'. she assured me that they have now corrected the till problem nationally - sorry!

What is the name and address of the CEO, might be useful information, for us all to have at hand.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items. :D

if you add freepost SCO SO43 to the address it means you don`t need a stamp (taken from clubcard address, which is the same)

Does anyone know if the full refund and keep product policy still applies when using a self scanning till? Was overcharged on two CD's and a book today and CS started to give a refund, then checked with her colleague and decided we were only entitled to the difference back. Pointed out the policy notice behind them and they told us that because we used a self scanning till it was down to our own error. OH was too embarrassed to argue, so left with just the difference refunded. Not at all happy. Is it worth a call to HO, or will they tell me the same story? If anyone thinks it is worth a phone call, can someone let me know the freephone number. Thanks.
