ent to Tescos in Leicester tonight. The pork mentioned in this thread marked up on sel at £5.69kg and scanning at £5.99p
I had 4 packs. Lady on customer servive have me £1.90p back. Which was the price of 1 pack. Should I have had a full refund and if so how can I get one? I do have the reciept.
Yes you should have had a refund for each overcharge. Go back to the store an explain.......if they argue the toss, and you don;t want a scene / fuss take it up with HO by phone.

I have just returned from a store that offered me the difference on a couple of items.

I said, hang on, what about R&R?

"That was replaced over two months ago", CS says!
Down comes the manager, and echoes CS's remarks.

Keep your refund of the difference, I say, I'll be back in the morning when some staff that know what they're talking about are around.
And following a call to HO.

Two months ago? Well, the same store R&R'd me on some cheese last week!!

Welcome narabanekeater - yes, of course Tesco have overcharged you and should implement their R&R policy, which you find in full throughout the store and this thread.
As you have an incorrect refund, definitely go back with your receipt - this partial refund acts as proof of acknowledged overcharge, even if SEL has been removed/corrected. Go and hceck it yourself first. Good luck and let us know what happens.

That is deliberate dishonesty PeteM - you must pursue it a HO level.

Hi Critical1 Have just read your post. Did this happen on Sunday as there seems to be a pattern emerging a few other MSE'rs me included have also had problems with Duty Managers/CS Staff on Sundays. The Duty manager would have had egg on his face if he had tried to explain to the police that he had called them because you had been overcharged and wanted your rights as per national policy.

NO it was on Saturday evening @ 7.45pm I was at Cs for nearly an hour... still waiting for a reply from the complaint email I sent them. does anyone know how long they normaly take? I will post the phone video here if I can?

HO just got back to me, and have spoken to the store.
I need to take the items back, and they will do the right thing with regards to R&R.

    Hi BA,

You have definately been overcharged. You paid more than was advertised.

If you saw a shelf label advertising a BOGOF, you would expect to get this, if you saw "Buy two for £1", you would expect to get it, and if you saw "3 for the price of 2" you should expect to get it. How they program their tills is not your fault.

It is possible that the head office customer services person you spoke to tried to fobb you off. On some very limited experience I have found that men working there are more likely to do this, and just make stuff up the way some of the instore CS staff do. I'd call back, if you get a man hang up, until you get a lady.

Ben and !!!!!! would know what to do !
