    Look at this thread here
for some very long ( but helpful) discussions of the policy and people's experiences.I'd better not post on this thread any longer as its just for misprices.
You needn't be stuck with a laptop- you can take it back, or not pay for it if when you get to the till it scans at the lower price.

Am I right in thinking if the shelf price for the laptop says £568 and you get charged £568 then you dont get anything out of it.
But is there a box price on the laptop box aswell? I could not see a price on the box itself. But supposing there was a price on the box, and it was less than £568, does that mean I get refunded my £568 and get to keep the computer too...in other words just get the laptop for free? Or do they send me away with £568 and a free laptop. All sounds too good to be true.

  • Hi guys

if you want to try getting ur money back, go to the cheese aisle, look for the Tesco Vegetarian Edam wedges, they will have a shelf sticker of 4.38 / kg, but when you look at the price on the product, its 4.65 /kg, so take it to till, pay for it then go to CS desk and advise them you were overcharged on the cheese.

Every store I have been in this week has this cheese overpriced

Good luck guys, I was shi*$ing bricks the 1st time I tried this too, but you soon get the hang of it, I never pass a Tesco now without having a quick look round

    Happy shopping

If the price is any higher that stated on the box then yes, you should be able to get a refund for the full amount and get to keep the product...so yes, a free laptop!!!

Tom you are correct, however the laptop in question has had the wrong price on it for a long time, in my local store anyway, the SEL is £568 and the price on the box is £598, but unlucky for me, it scans at £568, therefore it's correctly priced. I give up how many times I visited and rescanned.. :rotfl:

    Good luck in your store.

Thanks, i might try that, i dont mind having an extra piece of cheese, at least that won't break the bank. Not sure i would bother having an arguement over it though

    Gallop,
I see you are new to the site so welcome (where've you been all this time!)
If it states £598 on the SEL and £568 on the box and you pay £598 that's an overprice. You get a refund and keep the item for free! Simple as that!
