is this correct, and if not what should i do next? oh, and i have since been back to the store and have taken a photo of the yellow sel sign. pls pls help!!!! :A
This is absolute rubbish. The policy states "If things dont add up.. you can have a refund and keep the product". Did things add up in this instance?. No they bloody well did not. You were overcharged so you are entitled to keep the goods and get a refund as per policy- its as simple as that. Tescos overcharged you. End of argument. No ifs, and no buts.
Insist on this again with them, and if they still refuse to give you a refund, say youll be speaking to trading standards regarding the misleading wording on their policy. Keep all receipts, and records of conversations.
I think this is outrageous and laughable. Tesco do not have a leg to stand on.0 -

It doesn't help, but I have been refunded twice from two different stores. Both times they tried to argue that it wasn't a misprice since the SEL was correct. If you have the Samsung D500 the leaflet actually shows the price as £149.99 if you have bought £40 worth of food. If you then paid £169.99 then it is definately an overcharge. I can see where there arguments are coming from but at the end of the day your bill has come to £20 more than it should. You could always point out, as I did at the first store that it was either the mobile mispriced or you have been overcharged on all of your shopping. I'm sorry I can't advise on the legality, everthing I've learn't has been from this site. Good luckLook after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -
Just a reminder that most of the alcohol offers end tonight (sels state offers end 15/11/05) Thats got to be worth an early trip into tesco for0

I said, hang on, what about R&R?
"That was replaced over two months ago", CS says!
Down comes the manager, and echoes CS's remarks.
Keep your refund of the difference, I say, I'll be back in the morning when some staff that know what they're talking about are around.
And following a call to HO.
Two months ago? Well, the same store R&R'd me on some cheese last week!!
Wasn't Beckton again was it Pete?:rolleyes:Darren0 -
Tesco Extra, Abingdon
Got the PS2 Mercenaries today, no problems at all - thanks all! The CS person carefully wrote down all the details/codes etc before she gave me the game - maybe they are getting more efficient about putting things rightNo CD misprices though.

Ben and !!!!!! would know what to do !
If there is a shelf label then it is clear that R&R applies, I know the one you mean. Problem of R&R should only arise if there is no shelf label, and you need to rely on the leaflet, and hundreds of other posters, t-shirts, etc around store.
Now you are out of store, they will try every underhand trick in the book, lying, removing labels, etc to avoid the R&R.Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.0 -
I have at long last got my first misprice in tesco and got a full refund.
The tesco's in Bracknell doesn't have any self scan units so I had to ask a member of staff if they could check some prices for me
Sorry, if this question has been asked before (its a long thread to read through and I couldn't find this mentioned)
if I have now got a refund on a cd am I still able to take it back and exchange it for another one??
Any chance of a seperate thread with some of these basic Q&A's for people like me who are new to this Tesco Misprice stuff?Looking to raise some money0 -
Hi,
If this has been asked before then i apologise, but does anyone know whether there is a maximum price they will refund to?
Having looked and seen what someone has got refunded, just thought i'd ask before i try.
