Addy thats what i was thinking. As its monday today they could be putting brand new posters up with more offers. I get the feeling that they will be more careful this time round and check the prices shown on the poster against the actual cds!

You'd think so wouldnt you? But my bet is that there will be at least 2 mistakes on the new postrers as there have been for weeks despite MSE'ers and probably many others pointing out these mistakes time after time after time......

Thanks for the advice thepearce, I was surprised by this whole incident and even rang the local police station to find out if they had been called!!! I intend to phone HO on monday and email this letter to them, I shall also put it up on my website the, little video is intresting... if it comes to that.

This manager clearly did not like the fact that I knew the policy and he clearly stated that it did not matter as he can disregard it and he was the duty store manager and as such he makes the rules and yes I can stand my ground if need be but usualy I dont even have to as I'm 5'11 and like 18st so I'm a bit large gentle and meek.. the gentle giant who stands out and does not want to embarras myself ;)
Hi Critical1 Have just read your post. Did this happen on Sunday as there seems to be a pattern emerging a few other MSE'rs me included have also had problems with Duty Managers/CS Staff on Sundays. The Duty manager would have had egg on his face if he had tried to explain to the police that he had called them because you had been overcharged and wanted your rights as per national policy.

:j I've just got my 2nd free mobile. :j This time the Samsung D500 @ £169.99, :j This mobile is on the leaflet as £169.99 then £149.99 with a £40 shop. The CS tried to say it wasn't applicable as a R&R since it was a discount rather than a wrongly priced item. The manager came over and said he knew nothing about the R&R policy!!!!Don't worry say's I , I'll show you your poster. There is a leaflet in the store with some of the mobiles showing the reduced prices so and those should be the easier to argue if anyone has a problem. Also got the Mercanaries PS2 game and the Bruce Springfield CD so thanks to whoever originally posted those. The other misprices had been crossed out on the poster. Good shop today £270 with £200 refunded :j

This offer on the mobiles is on until December and you can get a refund on any mobile within 28 days so it is worth a try. Just make sure you put the mobile through first and then the rest of your shopping so the cashier 'forgets' to put the offer on.

I tried this tonight, just as I was going to hand over my CC the cashier looked confused and seemed to be reading something off the till screen, he then asked me if I should get £20 off the phone, "don't know" says I, he then calls over another member of staff to check, and applied the discount :(.

Gonna try another store tomorrow ;)
