Yeah, but I don't link a refund I'm offering to someone to the fact it's going to have an impact on my shares! lol
We may jest about it, but I don't think anyone actually takes it seriously. But there is never an excuse for rudeness.
No, there isn't. I'd take their name from their name badge, or alternatively their operator number (more effective for pin pointing who exactly)...
(second from last set of numbers on the VERY bottom of the receipt.. should look something like:)13/11/05 12:00 1234 100 5678 9012 | | | | | | | | Store | | Customer Number Till | Operator
In that instance its 5678
Edit: And no point asking people for their name, we're all told we don't have to for privacy... and some even wear 'different' names on their namebadges.
...and write to the store Customer Service Manager. I wouldn't bother complaining about staff verbally to the store, as it just goes over there head. And likewise Head Office, they haven't a clue about who is who instore, and don't come into contact with the person concerned.
Be warned anybody who also like to get abusive the other side of the desk - we've been told its OK to walk away now and get a manager to deal with you
(Not that I'm saying anyone here is nasty; but there are people out there who come looking for trouble at CSD)Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. I can confirm that for every misprice the store can face a £1000 fine

Can You Take A Regional Offer Like The Mobile That You Got Overcharged On Back To Another Store Or Does It Have To Be The Store You Got It From? The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. I'd say probably best the store you got it from, as really you are querying the price that that particular store is charging.
However, national offers like the £20 off mobile may be able to done at any store.
I'll be glad when the mobile offer is finished, doing my head in at the moment!Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Because the way it works (as in the way the discount is applied by the cashier) is confusing, and the message displayed to cashiers is confusing them even more, resulting in more 'section manager' calls to checkouts to deal with itYes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. True, just a shame theres normally an angry customer at the end of it. And they usually rant that they have been 'waiting 20 mins'.
On that note, what IS IT with people always choosing the nice, round, 20 mins to complain that they have been waiting for that long, when you KNOW they have been there less than a minute.
I had an old guy shouting at me the other morning - I had 5 staff stood round me whilst I told them about an important change on the tills, and the fact there was a 2 minute silence at 11am which they could choose to observe and stop scanning/working.
He come past, and shouted across "CAN YOU TELL WHOEVER is running this place that they need to open some more bloody tills, its gonna take me 20 minutes to get through as it bloody is, its REDICULOUS! You lot stood around with no..."
I answered "Yes, SIR, I will open some more checkouts in a moment, when I have finished informing my staff that there will be a 2 minute silence today for which they are entitled to respect, and told them about some changes important to them to ensure you can be served efficiently today, OKAY?!"
I just don't understand why people think I would purposely hold back staff and watch everyone queue, without good reasoning!
Ah, arguing with customers. It keeps the job full of variety :rolleyes:Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.0
