Mandles Thanks, I do intend to name and shame on the 7th day If I do not have satisfaction and a suitable apology they will be in the LOCAL press and all over the internet I have photographic and video evidence, so i see no reason why I should not use it and let everyone know about TESCOs sharp practices and the way in which they treat customers. Believe me I know how to get hits on a website... They may want this unwelcomed advertisment
but I'm sure the share holders do'nt, 5 items is £5000 worth of fines if I'm correct
I'm even prepard to do a blog on this if I have to go to court, it will be of use on my course at university...0 -
I've had a refund on both the V3 mobile|@ £139.99 and the Samsung D500 @ £169.99, different stores.
The first time the cs said it didn't apply because it was a discount not a mis price. I said either way I had paid £20 more than I should have for my mobile and therefore it was overpriced. Alternatively I had paid £20 more for ALL my shopping and if she prefered she could R&R that instead. At that point the manager came over, recognised me from earlier 'visits' and said "Refund her now".
Today I've just got the Samsung D500 and again had to argue my corner. The CS said since the SEL was correct she couldn't R&R and would only give a £20 refund. I asked to speak to the manager and eventually he agreed it was an overprice, although he also said he'd never heard of the policy???
Although I didn't need it, The Samsung along with several others is on the store leaflet with the prices showing the price once the £20 has been deducted, ie £169.99 now £149.99 when you spend £40, so if you have one of those it would be easier to argue since it is in black and white
Hope you get your refund and this helps.
IUOTE=MissG]If the sel does not show the discount of the mobile could you get the r+r with the leaflet? It says the price of them after the £20 is taken off. I have the leaflet in front of me but i don't know how to put a picture on otherwise i would show you all.[/QUOTE]Look after the pennies and the £££s will look after themselves0 -

When I left we had the R+R policy displayed at the side of the tills, but the so called 'managers' only used it when they could be bothered. I'd never wanted to leave a job so much as when I was there!0

we all ought to meet at exactly the same time in one of these awful intimidating tescos & all buy overpriced stuff & all go to cs at exactly the same time...lets see who would feel intimidated...20+ money savers or 1 stroppy & nasty cs person!!!!I think we would get lots of refunds that day !0

Went to a branch of Tesco today we dont usually use as it's pretty rubbish - but was in the area so took the opportunity to exchange an item. The "lady" and I use the term loosely on CS was rude and refused exchange without receipt. I can understand that I have no right to a return without the receipt and it's their call, however she pushed my item back at me and looked at me like I was something she'd just stood in!
I went back to the car and told OH who said well I think we should pay a little R&R visit then....I agreed and sure enough the usual chart CD's were all mispriced. As the idea was to take the p**s he bought 6 of each and I stood next to him at CS smiling sweetly at the nice CS "lady" as another one served him. They of course tried to offer the difference, called the manager etc but my hub was a star and while I was getting hot under the collar at the spanish inquisition he was ever so calm and just stuck to his guns.
Result was a very large refund, 2 CS staff who looked like they'd just had a ferret shoved up their knicker legs, a dischuffed manager and 2 customers laughing all the way to the car!!
So...Replace, Refund and Revenge was ever so sweet.
P.S... this batch will go into Asda's 'kids at christmas' pressie box0 -
Sent of the offical complaint letter today lets see what happens on Monday morning... This could make for a very interesting project.0

It is their money in a roundabout way, as tesco offer a shares for employees scheme (well they used to...)
But there is never an excuse for rudeness.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

Nope, I'm afraid you can't take non Tesco Express products back to an Express.
Some *may* do it for food products, but they wont for things like CDs/DVDs etc.
Used to be a nightmare with things like clothing returns in non-clothing superstores - but they should do it now.
I believe the only things you can't take back are mobiles and electricals to non-mobile/electrical goods selling stores - as they don't have electrical product uplifts to actually return the stock.Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.0
