Does anyone know if the Extra stores charge more than non Extra stores, please? I didn't think they did, but ask because when I was in my local Extra store yesterday, I did find the dance party cd/dvd which has been mentioned, but the SEL was £10.97. I have seen it listed on here with an SEL of £8.97, but being charged £9.97.
I had already thought about getting this cd for my daughter for Christmas and would obviously prefer it as a freebie!!AMAZON SELLERS CLUB member 0024 come and join us :hello: make some space and get hold of some cash, we're on the Ebay and other auctions, Car Boot and Jumble Sales Board0 -

Probably just as she said, perhaps managers in that store have decided they want to keep track of refunds, and are asking CS to write reports, photocopying the receipt at the desk is an easy way of doing it.
Don't be paranoid about them wanting your details. Tesco's highly sophisticated computer systems can pull your details up as easy as pie, as well as all your transaction details and receipts god knows how far into the past.0 -
Got my first refund today on a Kasabian CD and a pop junior CD. No problems. Very nice CS told me that as I had been overcharged I was allowed to keep the items for free. (I acted very surprised too!) I found CDs very easy to figure out, but not so sure about anything else. I also noticed that almost all of the SELs had been removed from books, games etc and so difficult to judge. Are CDs the most reliable form of refund?
Thanks all!!0 -

Noooo, don't do that! Come, come, I'll stick some dodgy SELs out for yoooou!Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Shouldn't do, only stores with different pricing structures are Express & (some) Metros.
Probably just an old label for it that hasn't been changed.
So *fnaaar*, no R&R refundlol

parsnips wrote:i plucked up the courage to exchange a refunded cd, i was a bit nervous, i went to cs with my free cd and receipt written with refunded written on it.
i explained i bought this cd this morning, been overcharged, been given a refund on it, then got home and realised when my daughter got home i got her the wrong one.
please can i exchange it, they hummed and harred and said yes as long as i exchange it for another cd.
yippee
so all those who want to exchange a refunded cd, dont worry if your receipt has got refunded on it they will still let you exchange it.
We have exchanged LOADS of r&r cd's and dvd's in the past 6 weeks but I must just add that it very much depends on the store and the person on cs at the time. A couple of days ago I was told Tesco could not exchange anything without a receipt (unless it was a tesco specific product) the CS woman was a right jobsworth and unbudgeable! That was in a store where I have previously exchanged lots of DVD's for toysSo it's down to individuals and whether they are having a good day or not I think. Previous to this I've had no probs at all exchanging without a receipt and have literally exchanged hundreds of pounds of stuff. Incidentally, we took the dvd's to another store and they were happy to exchange for any other non food item
I havent tried to exchange with an r&r or oc marked on my receipt, so well done for that parsnips!...I just couldnt be bothered with the hassle. :cool:0 -
just wondering.....
do any of you just go to tesco's to look for misprices or do you just take a look when you are doing your shopping.?
since i have started reading this tread I have found myself at tesco with a list from the cp jackson website checking prices in the hope i will find something. so far i have got the george micheal cd and alisha keys cd. unfortunately all the other prices are right.0 -
