Has anyone ever been asked by CS if they can photocopy the receipt?
I shopped on Monday in Tescos and had refund on 1 pack of bacon and 2 cds.
Did a £50+ shop, gave over some coupons and a tesco spend £25 or more and get £2.50 off coupon - the coupon policy is 1 of each coupon and up to 50% off the bill.
I paid £39 in cash so I didnt take the pee with the coupons and this was the first thing that CS looked at when I gave her my receipt - the list of redeemed coupons NOT the items I had been overcharged on.
Then after she had refunded me she asked if she could photocopy the receipt, I said yes of course she could but asked the reason why she needed to do this as I had had occasion to visit CS before for a refund and had never had this happen before.
She just said 'oh its new policy, we have to write a report for every refund now' as she slid the photocopy across the desk, from the customer side (where photocopier is) to the staff side, photocopied side down and then placed other items on top of it so I couldnt pick it up to have a look.
Maybe they wanted my clubcard details? Bit tough if she did 'cos I had 'forgotten' it and used a temporary one0 -

Hmm what do you lot make of this? maybe being paranoid but oh well
Got a few bits of shopping on the way home, got the jameroqui CD and the PS2 game that was mentioned. I took it to the customer sevices and after a bit of persuasion they gave me my refund. Anyway, I didn't realise at the time but it was the same woman who issued me a refund on the computer a couple of weeks back. She said "oh your the guy who got the computer" to which I replied "yes, can't be too careful checking the prices lately" and that was that. Bit worried she may take it further, whats the chances of that? Wish I hadn't bothered now and really wish I had remembered this lady. Been bugging me a bit ever since.0 -
Hi went to local Mr t last night and over heard a lady talking to cs staff about some bacon.
Cs said it was for rind less bacon not as she had rind on bacon.Cs walked away for a second then I aproached the lady and said "stay calm you are right this member of cs tried to argue with me last week about some silverside beef " .Anyway duty manager called and she said label was for rindless bacon and no you donrt get it for free and would only offer a refund.
I have so far had £35 worth of food but I always check the wording as dont want to be wrong when I get to cs.The duty manager that was called on my last refund told me she would only give me a refund but after about 10minutes of explaning to here that the sel was in kg,s and lbsit did not matter what size piece of meat i had it should still be chardged at the sel price not the wrong price per Kg on item. The penny finalley dropped and she said she was the personel manager was just standing in.I also got her to admit that she did not no the customer policey on r&r that i told here was by the cs desk .All through this I stayed calm and did not raise my voice as had been advised on this site ..So a big thank you to all and yes I am a newbie to forums and posting and well spelling for that matter. thanks Dave Ps good luck next time sue? dont remember the last bit
1 more thing cs nowsay "oh hi are you ok What have you got this time? " I showed her the pork joint , she didnt even check when I said it was priced wrong just did the refund so be polite0 -

Don't let it worry you - if they didn't misprice, you wouldn't be visiting CS so often.
I feel the same after visting some stores - even check my rear-view mirror on the way out of the car park - and I haven't even had a CD or DVD, let alone a PC!!
So if they do recognise you (as they are bound to do after a while), then just play it as if it's nothing special, after all, it's their (current!!) policy.0 -

As it is getting near Christmas and my CD cabinet is bulging, I have got to thinking what would make Christmas Eve that bit special.
Does anyone have a price check scanner in a Tescos that works and could do me a favour and check some champagne / whiskeys etc.
I can think of nothing better than enjoying a well deserved tipple at a given time on cyberspace with all these great people who have helped me understand fully the well known phrase "Every Little Helps". And who better to pay for the round than my favourite shop, Tescos
Someone must be able to help - don't want to celebrate with parsnips!!0 -
i plucked up the courage to exchange a refunded cd, i was a bit nervous, i went to cs with my free cd and receipt written with refunded written on it.
i explained i bought this cd this morning, been overcharged, been given a refund on it, then got home and realised when my daughter got home i got her the wrong one.
please can i exchange it, they hummed and harred and said yes as long as i exchange it for another cd.
yippee
so all those who want to exchange a refunded cd, dont worry if your receipt has got refunded on it they will still let you exchange it.0 -

Yep i had that the other day, i only had an r+r on 2 pieces of cheese and the cs girl made a right performance out of refunding and copying the reciept. She kept me hanging about for ages while she mucked about with the photocopier.
Iwas so fed up with her by the end that i decided to get revenge, so i dumped the shopping in the car and went back into the store, bought 15 packs of bacon and made sure i smiled at her while she had to refund me for it all.0
