I hope all you guys who scan the cd isles for missprices, then give them out as Xmas presents are honest enough to tell the person (who may be buying you a present too) that you got theirs for nothing !
I imaginge you people will also be giving everyone a Gromit mug that you cleaned the shelves of in the first couple of weeks, & maybe some beef in gravy you bought for the clubcard deals. (see other threads)
I will wait for the abuse.....0 -

It wouldn't be the first time I've heard about this problem of yours, *cough*, Mr Dastardly...

bit slow today ? Was it you ? Hope you took notes for the photo-fit sketch to Interpol. What is the region/locality of your workplace ? (ie South East, South West, Midlands, Soctland, etc)Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.
EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.0 -

I think you will find that misprices only has one 'S'. But I might be wrong. :rolleyes:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

the*dark*one wrote:Sorry if this has been asked before, but how do you all notice these misprices? Are they all items that you want to buy and after you've paid for them you check your receipts and then go over to the customer services desk for a refund?
Also, are all the Tesco's customer services desks staff compliant with the refund/keep the product policy? i.e. if you genuinely were overcharged are they likely to kick up a fuss and try and force a refund of the difference on you (not allow you to keep product for free) ?
Where is this 'policy' usually located in the store?
Thanks
Whoops - hit thanks instead of quote! oh well.
Right, we notice the misprices by paying attention to the prices indicated on the SEL (Shelf Edge Label) as we shop for items. If the price on the pack is higher than the SEL price, and then it scans through at the higher price, it is pretty easy to spot. Make a note of SEL prices as you go around the store for the items you are buying. The other misprice is the price per kilo - if the SEL has a price per kilo lower than the price per kilo on the pack, and the pack has a price already calcualted printed on it then it will have been based upon the pack price, not the SEL price - which is lower. If you get charged anymore than the SEL price, or any promotional offer displayed at Point of Sale, then it is a misprice and you are entitled to ask CS for R&R after you have paid for the item in question.
If you point out the overcharge at the till before you pay then you will not get R&R - just a CS assistant come over and charge you the correct price.
The poilcy is displayed on the wall behind the CS desk aswell as on the Tesco website.

So are you saying that a present has to be payed for with cash to mean anything?
JFYI the best present i ever had cost NOTHING and was something my daughter made for me at school.Time and effort out weighs any amount of
money!!!Jesus said to him, "I am the way.The truth, and the life."
"No one comes to the Father, but through Me."

No, I was implying bluntly that that is not the first time I've heard of that situation, but I couldnt possibly agree that it was true due to my contractual obligations.
Therefore, have it on record that I deny CSD staff are ever told to 'try and get away' with the minimum amount of refund from corrupted and tight pocketed managers trying to look after the figures.
Because it doesn't happen :rolleyes:Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.0 -

Yes, but you also know that it was made with effort and hard work.
Whereas a overcharged CD given to someone for christmas, and they could be thinking "Oh gawd, someones gone to the trouble of spending their hard earned money to get me a gift"
And they didn't.
I'm not saying its a problem for me, but look at it from the flipsideYes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.0 -
[QUOTE=Lindsaye_Goes_without_saying_with_my_friends_and_family_anyway,_they_know_what_I_am_like.[/QUOTE]
Oh God me too, I am sure my family must open their presents and then sit there for a moment trying to think of any offers or schemes that I have mentioned over the year. The don't care though, its the thought that counts not the amount of cash spent! My family love the fact that I have the patience to do all these things to save money, most of my lot would rather waste their money than spend a little time searching for the best offer. I am deffo my fathers daughter, he is the only person in the family who is as money saving as me!
Sorry to go off topic by the way!0
