EVERY LITTLE EXCUSE HELPS in trying to get out of the R&R policy when the law has been broken, especially on high value items.0 -
nannaC wrote:Not so as I keep saying all I want is to be able to do my shopping in the knowledge that the price displayed is the price I will be charged without having to scrutinise receipts for mistakes. On another note perhaps we should invoice for our time when we are kept waiting, for them to deign to correct THEIR mistakes. [ and I dont just mean Tesco] after all MY time is as valuable as theirs. Perhaps they would think twice about leaving people waiting 30 mins if they knew it was costing them.
To be fair though, you on your own do not form the majority of people on the board which was my point, some people want to change policy and some people just want free stuff0 -

Currently in process of drafting a letter and supporting documentation (which i have scanned onto PC) to trading standards on a matter of misleading price indications.
Edit : intend to make a total nuisance of myself regarding the matter, I am exceptionally good at thatAs some folk may have guessed
REDFOX might be an idea to have the DTI web page on the first page of this thread, just so everyone knows what the relevant law is in the area ??Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

There isnt a scanner in Tesco Riverside Dundee. There is two in Kingsway but the one in the household items aisle seems to be permantly out of order. Thanks for useful tip, Kingsway always seems to have correct prices on Cds although did get the Italian Cookbook there the other week.New comp-a-holic!!:j

With my last couple of overcharges, the CS rep made a point in telling me that I'd get a full refund and keep the item, as if the policy was new!
This was in two different stores, and goes some way of making up for the waste of space staff at a particular store that I still visit.
I too would like to see ALL prices sorted out, but in the meantime, I'll make up for the last twenty years shopping at Mr T's.0 -

CS there are really nice so they must be fed up to the back teeth with Entertainments Dept. Bet the grumpy duty manager was the same one I complained to HO about.

I know of at least three stores that have been directed to abide by ALL company promises with specific references to r&r, I don't know if all stores are receiving the same instruction but the instances of r&r in these stores are not particularly high so they may be as a result of complaints but I am not sure.
Perhaps Joel or one of his colleagues could confirm?Four guns yet only one trigger prepare for a volley.Together we can make a difference.0 -

Ugh, why are you insistant on calling that number?
0800 50 55 55 works as well, but the point is its FREE!
Cheshunt, to the best of my knowledge, transfer your call to Dundee anyway :rolleyes:Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine.
