I hope you dont mind but I dont really want to say where I am because as you say we have had LOTS of R&R's around here and I dont want to be put on the Tesco CS wall of fame!! Too many Tesco staff are starting to read this board :shhh:

Of course, I completely respect your wishes on this :)

aren't you sort of well recognised as doing this frequently though? I would have thought that might set their alarm bells ringing

Well not really... I find that a marje simpson style wig and dame edna sunglasses are a cunning disguise and throw even the most observant CS staff member off the trail...well that's my husbands disguise anyway...I prefer a sombrero and Gas mask it really is quite an effective disguise....
    Seriously....
there are 4 Tesco's within half an hour or so of where we live, 3 of which are large extra's with lots of different CS staff. we tend to rotate our visits and as we dont visit at regular times or regular days, we dont often see the same CS person anyway. It is getting to the point where we would probably start to be recognised now though as we've had a few large refunds lately! I think we'll have to be careful as to who's on the desk. It also helps that there are 2 of us, so if I recognise a CS member from last time I let my OH do the r&r or exchange.
We are quite amazed ourselves at what we have gotten away with without any hassles other than a few disgruntled grunts! I think we must have recieved £700 - £800 of goods since we started looking at the end of September... That's astonishing isnt it, and it's not as if we spend all day every day looking, it's just 5 or 10 minutes of OH browsing while I'm getting a few groceries (or vice versa).
  • Also you'd have large coaches turning up in the Tescos car packs in your locality full of MSErs. A slack store is really hard to find these days (NOT :rotfl:  ;) )

Although I could see that it might be a good business venture !!

TRIP TO TESCOS IN THE AREA cost £10 per person, buffet lunch included.

The trip will take in the breath-taking scenery and architecture of several local Tescos. Sample the local charm of the area by speaking to several well informed CS representives, while sampling the delights of the DVD and CD range on 'OFFER' in the the calm ambience provided in-store. Wander round the aisles without fear of being recognised and harassed by the security guards on display, and scan as many products as desired without fear of reprisals (legal notice : the MSEr coach company can not be held responsible for scanners lost, broken, damaged, unavailable, painted over, turned-off, hiding in the toilets, or any other reason for them not being available).

Following a delightful days bargain-hunting you will be returned safely to our central drop-off point where you may go and enjoy your goods purchased at your leisure.

Lunch will take place at 12.30 (approx : legal notice : all times are subject to change under the management discretion), and will consist of a range of meat and diary products selected CAREFULLY by our staff from a fine purveyour of these types of items (LEGAL NOTICE : Lunch is likely to consist of BACON (finest), CHEESE, PARSNIPS, MEAT SELECTION, SALMON, A CHOCOLATE ORANGES, this can only be refered to as a guide and can hold no legal bond).

FULL TERMS AND CONDITIONS APPLY, WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO REFUSE TO ADHERE TO ANYTHING AT ANY POINT IN TIME WHETHER WE HAVE SAID IT OR NOT.

this does not effect your statutory rights. :D

LEGAL NOTICE : THE PRICE DISPLAYED HERE IS SUBJECT TO CHANGE AT THE MANAGEMENTS DISCETION, IF YOU ARE CHARGED MORE THAN THE PRICE DISPLAYED THEN WE RESERVE THE RIGHT TO DO THIS, THUS WE HAVE NOT BREACHED ANY LAWS AS WE HAVE NOT MISLEAD YOU !!
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

I'm surprised you're not selling it all on eBay by now - I would be, you'd make a mint!

You may like to add that there's a limit to the weight of luggage on the return trip.
Also, are there TV and DVD facilities on the coach - watch a free film on the way home!!

    TESCOS R&R TRAINING REPORT

Although abijanzo has tried hard throughout this term and the commitment and attendance has been excellent, the lack of bagging several large items has lead to a average performance. abijanzo must concentrate harder on the area of MISPRICES and not get side-tracked on minor issues such as a 'few groceries'. In view of the reasonable performance on the selected items we shall give abijanzo a C+ for this term and note that more focus needs to be actioned in the area of PCs, MOBILE PHONES and other large value items. Given the desirable location of abijanzo, we feel that there is a good chance of getting these items, escpecially with the disguises that abijanzo has in mind.

    Summary

    C+

Steady performance good basic skills, more focus on high value items. Good lateral thinking on the area of being recognised, and a super selection of disguises in progress. Good use of the other half.

    :rotfl: :D
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Excellent point PeteM, although an additional baggage excess charge could apply :money:

Ammendment to COACH TRIP TERMS & CONDITIONS :

Customers are allowed baggage of up to 10kg per person, excess baggage (UP TO A MAXIMUM PER PERSON OF 1000kg) will be charged according to the MSEr COACH TRIP COMPANY POLICY, that is locked away in a safe guarded by 2 polar bears called RALF and DEREK respectively, and a PENGUIN called BOB, in a secret location on an ICE-CAP in the South Pole AREA.

LEGAL NOTICE : PLEASE NOTE THERE IS NO FACILITY ON BOARD TO PROVIDE FOR DVD USAGE, DUE TO HEALTH AND SAFETY ISSUES CAUSED BY FIGHTING OVER WHOSE DVD IS PLAYED FIRST.
Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Other half is on the case and even (quite hillariously if you ask me) wheeled a few pc's past various staff members "do you need any help with that sir?" to the scanner recently ...but to no avail. He is however determined to bag himself a big fish so watch this space!
We have recently left many a CD on the shelf when we knew it was an OC - just couldnt be bothered with small fries LOL
