I got my first misprice yesterday but what a performance.
1. Spot the mistake - Pop Jr CD poster says 10.77 SEL says 10.97
2. Find CD that doesn't have one of those protective cases that obscures the bar code. Only 1 of 6 CDs of same title without the 'bad' case.
3. Find a scanner. The one conveniently placed near the CD aisle in our local Tescos now says 'contact a member of staff' when you scan a CD!
4. When located a scanner that works, scan item and silently jump for joy.
5. Pay at checkout - do not attract attention.
6. Stroll up to CS with receipt and CD in hand.
7. Prepare for battle.
8. After refusing 20p difference refund, point to sign placed behind CS staff and smile sweetly.
9. Take refund graciously.
10. Go home, update MSE and ring all your friends to tell them. :rotfl:0 -

You'll never get an A+ Tescos MISPRICE REPORT LIKE THIS.
Line 6 should read pushed heavy trolley of CD's that were mispriced what seemed like a mile up everest, to the CS counter, had to get one of the in-store packers to give me a hand part way there or I have never managed it. then onto line 7 as you correctly suggest. :rotfl:Drat and Double Drat, curse that Mr T excuse for not giving me a refund.

Just got back from Macclesfield branch of Tescos.
I bought some Christmas presents:
3x JR Pop CD = Poster Price £10.77 - Charged £10.97
2x Kasabian = Poster £5.77 (ish need to check digipics)- Charged £7.97
Noticed mistake on my way out of the store, so went to C.S.
The "nice" lady came with me to look at the poster price then she contacted the audio manager, L.T. They offered me a full refund BUT they where to keep the CDs! I pointed out the sign behind her stating the R&R, which her reply was 'Audio and electric are not included'. She stated that I could come back the next day and buy the CDs at the poster price once the problem had been corrected.
I left with the CDs and the receipt.
Realising I had nobody’s name to inform head office, I went back into the store. I asked the same C.S. for her name and her manager’s name. She gave me the name of the store manager (R.P) and the audio manager (L.T), but refused to give me her name. Her name badge stated it is 'Joy'. That’s a laugh!
I know it is illegal to advertise something and sell it for a higher price.
I would appreciate some advise on this matter.
They made me feel like a criminal.

Phone HO as what they have said is a joke. It applies to all products and does include cds etc as i have had a r+r on cds, think we all have by now :rotfl: .
They are in breach of the ASA as the r+r is advertised and they are not following it. Ho number is 01992 632 222 let us know how you get on
I hate it when Mr T cs do that  !!The best things in life are for FREE!!!If you like what you see and find this info useful, please use the thanks button. It costs nothing and means so much.0 -

My only consolation is the 500 clubcard points I got for taking out pet insurance for a week (total cost £4.27) and then cancelled. The poster has since been removed and replaced with £20 of mobile phones, but I got £20 of deal time vouchers for the loss of my poor genuine albino penguin.

OUR SINCERE APOLOGISES FOR NOT BEING ABLE TO READ THE NAME TAG....... But that'll teach you to check your bill sucker !! We have had a slap up meal at Mrs Miggins pie shop, gone on holiday and had a whale of a time with your ransom monies !! :rotfl: ALL because of a difference of 36 pence.

It certainly isn't. Not helpful now to say that you should have stayed put and asked for Store Manager, failing that, phoned HO on a mobile, or offered them the no., insisting calmly and politely that their Misprice policy be implemented. Do it now anyway.
Don't know if you've had time to read back through this thread but !!!!!! Dastardly, Tony, Ben 500, nannaC and many, many, MANY others have useful experience for you to absorb. Remember you're part of the mser family now.
Hope you have gone back and sorted matter out - keep us informed. Also, fear nothing - as you have done nothing wrong - and look for Joy to contact Head Office, or process future refunds if she's about. She may prefer to avoid you, rather than vice versa.
BUT - If ever Mr T misprices Joy by Patou, post it here - one of THE great perfumes of all time.CAP[UK]for FREE EXPERT DEBT &BUDGET HELP:

Apologies, this is off topic, however concerns Tesco Customer Services.
I wanted to return a cd today with a valid receipt, (not a refund) and was told that cds are not refundable. I asked if I could exchange it instead and she said she couldn't do that either.
She said the policy was written up somewhere in the store (but she didn't know where), and I couldn't find it.
Does anyone know whether this is correct? :question:0
