1525 by any chance Joel.....useful tool that one!!

You got it ;) At least its the nicer CSDapp RP1525 as it allows me to sort by cashier and get them easier for exception tracking, and not the paper 1525. I hated the paper one ;)
Yes, I work for Mr T, but anything I say is not given as an official response or representation from Mr T, and is usually best taken with a pinch of salt, lightly toasted and served with a chardonnay or rose wine. Mmmmmmm.

I also walked round a particular section today as a customer and noticed 2 pieces of POS with prices per KG wrong, which could of amounted to £30 of free stuff with just 1 of each item.

Oh well, they've gone now though... I'll be keeping a thorough eye out in that area though ;)

New one on me a few days ago....

We've just spent a week in sunny Skeggie. Three more days than originally planned, so had to pop into Mr T's there for some extra provisions.

Picked up 2 of the £1.24 cheeses, and at CS was presented with 10p and a printed slip for me to put my name and address on!!!

When challenged, I was informed that implementation of their Refund and Keep policy was "at their discretion", lol.....and as I hadn't left the shop she only had to give me the amount of the refund!

Eventually after a non-appearance by the "manager" that she told me had told her this, I was given a refund "on this occasion". Still wanted my name and address, but after being mucked around for so long I decided I wasn't going to comply with their stupid request, so they didn't get it.

A quick phone call subsequently to the store and a conversation with a Duty Manager confirmed that the policy as publicised is correct and the CSA in question would be informed of this :D Unfortunately this didn't compensate me for the half hour lost during my holiday or the way I was made to feel like a common thief in front of a queue of 5 or 6 people for the sake of £2.48
  • After having watched and read this site for months now, I finally plucked up the courage to try out Tescos R+R policy for myself. Went into local tescos (which luckily has a scanner). Got 2 cd's 'Dance Party' and 'Karaoke Hits', both labelled at £9.77 but scanned and sold for £9.87 and £10.97 respectively. Lady at CS couldn't have been more helpful. Refunded money and got CD's too, and a big apology for overcharge.
My daughter is going to be chuffed to get those in her stocking this year. Coupled with the PS2 bundle from Argos I got earlier in the week (as revealed on this site), I am positively over the moon.
I also made a point of noting the prices on everything else I bought today, and carefully checked the reciept at the end, just incase. Will be very vigilant from now onwards.
    :T
`Save a little money each month, and at the end of the year, you'll be suprised at how little you have.

And your point is? (btw disguising nasty comments with smilies doesn't really work).

Whilst I may have FELT like one, I will never BE as big a one as Tesco are EVERY time (and there are many as this thread and the other thread have clearly shown) that customers are overcharged and don't notice.

I agree Addy, and regret that spa2K saw fit to make a personally directed swipe at you in a way that Joel. (Give that fine boy a PROPER job)
It was an unworthy post for this thread spa2k and maybe you regret it already - I hope so.
Similar experience yesterday, Addy - 'accused' of having had a cheese refund some weeks previous(who has not?)and being grilled over Tesco finest bacon(yes, I know) misprices-SEL £2.06, till price £2.48. Much remained on shelves with a mixture of prices, packaging, stickers and SEL's. Before departing, manager bound, a very fraught CS person said I came in every week and she knew why! Yes, I shop.
Question: would Tesco last long if customers did NOT 'come in each week'?
I replied that was sure many people came in each week. 'No they don't' said she. 'Not like you, you just look for mistakes'. I don't, but suggested I would not have cause to see CS if prices were correct. (Now aware, I'm sure we all think of years during which we, and others, have unwittingly overpaid.)
So, would unnoticed misprices from fortnightly non-repeat custom make up for such loss of footfall? - forgive my descent into pettiness, please.
She eventually over-refunded me in cash with very ill grace, having tried 'not the same product/give you the difference/you can't have them' etc before asking heavily 'so you want the refund and the bacon?', with much unpleasant accusatory comment. No, I sought no more than the correct prices, failing this, the correct application of national policy. 'Just take it' she said of the excess £2. I refused and had to force her to recount the money and take it back. 'It doesn't matter - you've got what you wanted' was the riposte.
No, I answered, what I wanted was to shop normally, be charged correctly and this would continue.
I cannot accept that Tesco would condone a member of staff knowingly overcompensating a bonafide customer.
Happy days all and good morning.

Another well done from me, too. hubble bubble.
Careful housekeeping and watching pennies are joys awaiting rediscovery.
Despite yesterday's contretemps, had more wonderful 10-32p reduced items, down from £3.79-£7.99 - all good feelings and happy freezer/jam times.

Sorry Joel - I intended a compliment, no more than factual, but incomplete.
Hope all proceeds well on the work front for you.
