No, no, no... NiceSoFarLodger has been good as gold :)

Oh, apart from when he came home at 4am Sunday morning covered in blood... but he didn't switch his music on.

As for AngelLodger, he's started cooking me dinner of an evening! While I sit and watch films :p

Did I tell you my house doesn't have any sewer connection at the moment?

Thank you Badger for keeping us entertained with your lodgers' shenanigans - have you thought about writing a book?:D Pity that Angel is disappearing soon - he sounds like a boon especially as he cooks for you:cool:

Why are you without sewerage - have you cracked a pipe?

Well, I noticed that every time someone had a bath a great puddle was appearing at the top of my vegetable patch... so I called Welsh Water out and then took a look under my manhold cover and declared that I had a blocked drain.

So then I called my home insurer who sent a little man to look, and he said that there was no blockage but it wasn't going anywhere - his theory was a collapsed siphon underneath the public highway in front of my house.

So I called out Welsh Water again and they said "oh fair enough, but that ain't me guv".

So I spoke to a home insurance guru at work who said that no standard home insurance policy would cover it.

So I spoke to the local council, who said I'd need their permission to dig up the public highway but that they wouldn't get involved in any other way.

Anyway, eventually the home insurance compay called and said they would cover it, so they're coming next week. By which time I'll have had 2 weeks worth of raw sewage on my veggie patch! Fun :)

Well the home insurance contractors are coming out on Friday, for three days of pavement-digging. We were very popular with my neighbours during the sunny bank holiday, I can tell thee!

NiceSoFarLodger was home all weekend - we spent Friday night drinking wine and watching films in the basement (until 6am )... and we now suspect that the mysterious blood was his own...

AngelLodger came back this morning - he's not got long left :(

Did we ever give Lodger3 a name? He was the one before MauritiusLodger, kept coming onto me every time he got drunk..? Well he's moving in with his girlfriend now and has asked me for a reference. Good lad!
