Crikey....as the wife of another Mon-Fri angel type lodger I'd be a little annoyed if I thought his landlady was eyeing him up.

[ When I were a lad - some time after the Boer War - "spring is in the air" was as far as a tabloid newspaper dare go. The comment usually appeared next to someone photographed in the company of someone other than their spouse].

Aaah, went out for a pint in the local last night - was supposed to be all three of us, but NiceSoFarLodger wussed out (as he so often does), so AngelLodger and I had a reaaaaaaaally long game of pool (we're as bad as each other at it!) and a good old chinwag. I do think that's important when someone new moves in, just to keep a relaxed atmosphere in the house

Glad to hear he's getting on well - it's a shame (for us!) that he's so nice really....

We'll have to call on Tufters to create a bit of havoc - maybe a couple of solid cat-presents left in AngelLodger's room? That ought to stir him up a bit!

Badger_Lady, you need to let that small fourth bedroom, preferrably to someone less angelic!
  • Good to see your loadgers are not causing you havoc like the previous ones. I agree that getting to know you new lodger aka Angellodger is good to get to know their personality etc. Also glad to see the Badger house in good form.

Blimey - you don't look at a thread for long enough and then it all changes!

Congratulations on AngelLodger B_L - you'll be relieved that it's a good well trained house mate you've ended up with this time

Just hope that Mauritius Lodger doesn't come back to haunt you in some way - just thinking about his bank account stuff

Badger Lady where are you? Are the lodgers so well behaved you've nothing to say. My new lodger is Ukrainian and so quiet (we have language difficulties too) we barely speak. There is not at all a problem of course she's very nice but I swear it's more quiet with both of us than it is with just me.

Anyway we miss you an update please :)

    I'm here!

Lots going on with me, but really nothing with the lodgers - sorry! I suspected for a while that AngelLodger might be annoyed with me (couple of sideways glances when I hadn't done the washing up etc) but we've all got used to each other now and settled into a happy routine.

The cat's curled up on my toes, happy wee puss, and the chickens have been clearing my weeds for me (in return for the odd dried mealworm).

I started my new job week last Monday, and have been totally hectic, doing 10-14 hour days every day and darting about between cities! Brilliant  I have only one problem - I sooooooooo fancy my boss  Have done since the first interview but I just can't get him out of my head and it's driving me crazy :( Would never go there but man oh man have I got a schoolgirl crush going on...
