amcluesent and PasturesNew, don't say things like that! :eek:poppysarah wrote: »Best of luck finding a new lodger. I wouldn't rush into having best mates though of the other one. Almost certainly a recipe for disaster imo.
I understand what you're saying there... PotentialLodger3 was actually here last night - the three of us had another mini-party - and I did talk to him about whether he really would want to live here and about whether it could get awkward with Lodger2 under the same roof. They both seemed very, very sure - they've known each other since they were babies and have lived together before, so I think we're solid there.
I've also got to know PotentialLodger3 fairly well and he's basically a duplicate of Lodger2, who's been a dream come true! Very respectful and empathetic, polite and most importantly chilled out (no-one wants a hectic atmosphere at home). Also, because they like the same music, there would be no more "battle of the base" upstairs :rotfl:
Even if it doesn't work out with PotentialLodger3, last time I advertised a room to rent here I had them clambering over me! I had 5 applicants for the 2 rooms in the first week of advertising, all of which were ready to pay their deposit. I'm confident that I could still get someone new in by the time Lodger1's notice period expires (it's actually 1 month notice, but I'll give him the opportunity to move out sooner if he wants to, which I suspect he probably will).Mortgage | £145,000Unsecured Debt | [strike]£7,000[/strike] £0 Lodgers | |0 -

Hmmm... never heard of Noel Fielding (generation thing). Just googled it and not quite my thing, but maybe that's partly that people look rubbish in photos and partly different people's perception of who looks like who. So it could be doable.
Tall, dark handsome sounds a good bet.
Pimping out hot male lodgers could bring you in a nice sideline in earnings. All cash deals too, so tax free.0 -
They could be friends of the Pet Shop Boys...0
