Aw Jammy, how did that happen? :(

Well I picked up Lodger 4 from the airport last night and I think I love him! He was staring out of the car window as we drove through Bristol and said "this country is really beautiful" :rotfl:

His English isn't great but we can understand eachother well - he said he would feel self-conscious because of having a different skin colour but I explained that round here he looks like a native.

He was almost on the verge of tears when we finally arrived and he said "I can't believe that you have helped me so much with all this when you never even met me - you're so understanding, I just still can't believe it". That made it very worthwhile :)

A couple of misunderstandings - he asked how much I charge for meals, so I explained that he would not want to eat my cooking! And pointed out the supermarket down the road. He also asked if he could use the broadband, I said of course he can if he gets a computer... I did lend him my laptop for 30 minutes last night so he could MSM his friends and family.

I'm looking forward to seeing Wales through this man's eyes - I have a feeling they might find new appreciation for the place we live :)

He sounds lovely - at least he doesn't sound like he'll play loud music and 'barf in the barf' :D

Maybe someone on freecycle has a working computer if he's lucky...I should imagine with Christmas some people will be upgrading....so if you/he ask nicely now he may get one fairly soon.

Look forward to hearing updates. Glad you're okay - sounds like you've got another car....

Yes, I went to lovely Essex in fact to pick up my bargain BMW 318i Convertible off eBay! That was a polava too - Lodger2 left his wallet at a friend's house so he couldn't get his rent to me in time... in the end my Dad paypalled the balance for me.

Here's another lovely story about Lodger4 - he told me that back home he keeps a flock of chickens and four cats... well he'd be right at home with my Tufty Puss and three ex-batteries... he saw Tufty and hid in his room! When I asked what was wrong, he said "I have never seen a cat that was black all over". He was too scared to stroke him! :rotfl:

    That's bizarre. :)
Mind you there's a lot of superstition about black cats being witches familiars. Ours is too noisy to be a witches cat. And too stupid. She falls over when you stroke her.

Lodger 4 sounds lovely although I do hope he is genuine and isn't playing on your good nature BL :)

This thread's brilliant - BL it's like you have 50 mums all worrying about you, vetting the next lodger etc, despite me being male!

nice car crx. mate has one with a manually removed roof.. cost 1.5k about 1 year ago.

There not a 'super car' but they got the looks of one and medium accel/speed. Like a honda civic but with better looks :P.

how'd the tyres come off like that? did someone fit them wrong or just unlucky?

    I'm a bit worried about Lodger4 :(

There was no sign of him when I got home from work last night, and as far as I can tell he hasn't been back all night... he was expected because he was looking forward to meeting Lodger2 and said that he would pay his first month's rent yesterday :(

Before anyone starts no, nothing's missing! :rotfl:
