So instead of being missing, he was just asleep in his own bed?
You probably assumed he was out because he wasn't playing music at full volume or throwing up?...much enquiry having been made concerning a gentleman, who had quitted a company where Johnson was, and no information being obtained; at last Johnson observed, that 'he did not care to speak ill of any man behind his back, but he believed the gentleman was an attorney'.0 -
Just tell your lodgers what is and what isn't acceptable.Happy chappy0

years ago when i was living with my parents my mum hosted 2 kenyan girls on a youth exchange .. they were a bit funny about my black cat .. supersticious etc - and apparently the cat looked at them funny (as a half blind cat does, and in fact any cat meeting strangers on their own territory) they felt he treated them with suspician because they were black and admitted all the cats in their village were very mixed and there were no totally black cats in the village. also they found it strange that we fed him .. both coming from a farming background they kept cats sort out the mice and rats - if you dont have mice and rats the cat will not stay and will move to another place!!Dogs return to eat their vomit, just as fools repeat their foolishness. There is no more hope for a fool than for someone who says, "i am really clever!"0
